My experience includes 9 years in private practice working with children, individual adults, couples and families on a variety of issues. I've worked with adult individuals on managing stress and anxiety in their lives, as well as relationships and marriages struggling with communication and infidelity. I have extensive experience working with adolescence and their families in the public school setting and court ordered commitment programs. I also work with the LGBTQ community.

I am a Christian counselor who works with clients that are experiencing difficulty with depression, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, family issues, marital issues, and more. I work with all age groups and diverse populations. The ideal client is the client who seeks help for their problem. I use a mix of many theories to treat clients depending on individual needs. I work with children and adults to address almost any need and believe there is no "one size fits all" type of counseling. I have worked in a variety of settings which include: college, outpatient treatment and equine therapy. I utilize motivational counseling, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, existential and human centered therapy. My experience has been in working with individuals struggling with stress management, depression, trauma, ADHD. PTSD, relationship issues, and grief/loss.

Being a woman is a challenge. We play multiple roles, and are expected to transition between them seamlessly and without complaint: wife, businesswoman, parent, friend, daughter, sister, the list continues. Often, because we are pleasers, we bear the burden ourselves. Often convinced that if we voice the normal, but troublesome thoughts we're having we will be rejected or admonished: "parenthood is hard" "I feel like I need more help" "This isn't the balance I want in life." We lose our voices, and with that comes things like anxiety, depression, feelings of failure, chronic pain and other symptoms. It doesn't have to be this way.

I have a heart to see individuals find wholeness and healing from past trauma and life experiences. As a clinician, it is important to create a brave space, meeting them where they are, and using a relational approach with all my clients. It is imperative to help my clients understand why they do what they do and identify those negative mindsets that came from life experiences that have caused them to remain stuck. Then, providing them with the tools to help them discover their truth, healing from their past wounds, walking in their freedom, so they can begin to rewrite their story.

I strive to build a collaborative relationship with you/your child to understand your struggles, help you gain insight about issues that may be beyond your awareness, and provide you with tools and skills that will help you/your child manage emotions, and work through life’s challenges. My approach is integrative and flexible, with the use of strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy.
