I help high-achieving women who feel trapped in exhausting roles and face challenges like burnout, historical trauma, narcissistic abuse recovery, anxiety, and self-worth struggles.
I help high-achieving people break free from roles and expectations that leave them feeling unseen, overwhelmed, and disconnected. Many feel trapped in cycles of overgiving, people-pleasing, or struggling with boundaries—especially after emotional trauma or narcissistic abuse. Others come to me because anger, frustration, or past wounds strain their relationships, leaving them out of control or misunderstood. They need a therapist who truly gets it. Together, we work toward authentic living, where peace, freedom, and self-acceptance lead the way.

You’ve tried talk therapy & it hasn’t helped... Talking about yourself may seem overwhelming when you have so much anxiety, past memories and feel distanced from those you care about. At work, it’s hard for you to hit that ‘off button.’ At home, you stay up late getting caught up in the thoughts of your past or replaying a conversation in your head. Your stress has caused yet another panic attack. Each week is so draining as you hold tension in your shoulders, a swirling spiral of stomach yuck, or feel keyed up as you scroll mindlessly on your phone. You crave relief & direction and haven’t been able to find it anywhere else.

Do you need help fine-tuning your life? Are your children addicted to technology? Do people tell you that you’re over-reacting? Whether you have children or not, it can be very difficult to stay focused on the tasks that need to be completed each day. This can lead to stress, difficulty sleeping, or lashing out at others. Therapy can be the perfect place to relax, reset, and recharge.

I am passionate about the power of storytelling and compassionate healing. I have a Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing, a Master of Science in Counseling, and I am in my final year of earning a PhD in Psychology. My approach to therapy is a unique fusion of creativity and clinical expertise. My path to becoming a clinician began with a fascination for human experiences and genuine empathy for people facing difficulties and trauma. I recognized my calling to help others while on my own path of healing from childhood trauma, and my approach is not just about solving problems; it's about self-discovery, growth, and healing.

As a Therapist my main goal is to help others who seek a different path for their life. I understand that sometimes we each need a little support and a comfortable chair to sit in while we talk. In my virtual sessions you can drink your coffee or hot tea, relax in the comfy chair and feel free to talk in a safe space with no judgment or criticism.

You have just taken those first steps to creating positive change for your mental and emotional health. Fantastic! Getting to understand ourselves is hard enough, learning how to communicate clearly and navigate human relationships is ten times harder. Talk therapy is an effective tool to help us understand what our needs really are, where our negative thoughts come from, and how to express to others what we are feeling and perceiving. If you struggle with trusting your thoughts, feelings, and perceptions, I can help you untangle those webs, and find a place of peace and balance in yourself.

As our lives have become increasingly complex, more and more we are becoming anxious, depressed, lonely, and confused about how to navigate relationships. I love working with young adults and people in transitional phases of life. Major life changes such as college graduation, taking a new job, having a baby, or moving to a new city can be especially stressful.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
