I am a caring, knowledgeable, and well-trained therapist who truly enjoys working with clients. If you are willing to partner we can achieve the results you are looking for. I am educated in the following treatment modalities: individual, couple, and family therapy. I am also certified to treat both substance and process addictions. Although trying to achieve full-time 'happiness' may be a fool's errand, I do believe that finding peace, contentment and well-being with self is the cornerstone for a life that can be both satisfying and robust.

I'm licensed as a marriage and family therapist in both FL and CA and hold additional certifications in couples and relationship therapies.
I enjoy helping individuals and couples to overcome challenges they face in their lives and in their relationships. The way back to wellness requires confronting with compassion what holds you back, what makes your life stagnant, what prevents you from experiencing connection, love, resilience. Together we will discover what is important to you, and attend to it so you can feel joy in being you and meet the world with courage, openness, spontaneity, and purpose.

You want confidence that the choice you're making is the right one for you and your family.
You already tried couples counseling to address ambivalence about staying or going, and it failed. You see, couples counseling wasn't for you; it's designed for people who are leaning into their marriage. Alternatively, couples on the brink of divorce need something very different. They need Discernment Counseling. Couples and sex therapy also provided.

I work with a wide array of issues including, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress-related problems, grief and loss, cross-cultural issues, substance abuse, anger management, domestic violence, parenting, family and couples’ relationships, and life transitions.
People seek my professional help for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, something in their lives is just not right. They may wish to make specific changes or to understand themselves better. They may struggle with their relationships, have difficulties in their jobs or studies, and/or old traumas continue to negatively affect their present. Also, sometimes they just don’t know what to do with their inner voice that is too critical and sabotages their lives. Therapy or counseling is not always about making big changes or exploring past issues. It can be used to simply have a place to check-in and stay attuned with themselves.

My training includes Family Systems, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Object Relations, Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Clinical Hypnosis.
Psychotherapy for all things love, losses, and relationships. Therapy is a deeply meaningful opportunity we can allow ourselves to pursue. Our overall state of being is greatly impacted by our relationships both past and present. Our formative years play a significant role in shaping our current selves and can have an influence on how we interact with others and behave. In addition, our subconscious mind has the ability to harbor memories that may resurface as destructive thoughts and actions. Problems like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties often stem from disturbances in our connections.

I'm trained in Family Systems, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and other approaches, plus I'm a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
Does this sound familiar? You're lying awake wondering if your relationship will survive. The distance feels unbearable. Conversations turn into arguments. Trust feels broken. You're questioning everything - but deep down, you still care. You want to feel close again. To laugh together. To trust completely. To choose each other every day with confidence. You need a safe space to rebuild what matters most. You deserve a relationship where you both feel heard, valued, and secure. If you're ready to stop wondering "what if" and start creating the love you both deserve, you're exactly where you need to be.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
