I'm a life-long advocate of counseling, having experienced first-hand the life-changing power of Marriage and Family Therapy before embarking on a road to becoming a therapist myself.
What if you could listen and understand differently? I always say "Insight gives perspective and perspective ignites change". My therapeutic setting aims to notice and analyze patterns that can help you gain a new perspective. I offer counseling services to individuals, couples, and families looking to improve their relationships, adapt to life’s changing circumstances, or alter undesired behavioral patterns.

Let me help you STRIVE in life, work, family , friendships and all other fulfillments life has to offer.
I believe that one of the bravest and scariest things to do is reach out for help. Many people see therapy as a stigmatize thing for only those that are in desperate cry for help and have no other choice. I can promise you that this is far from what therapy really is. Therapy is about having a safe place to open up and not be judged. It is a place to feel like FINALLY someone understands you and relates to your problems. I want to help you achieve whatever life changes you are looking for while in turn providing the most real and authentic experience.

I work with a wide array of issues including, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress-related problems, grief and loss, cross-cultural issues, substance abuse, anger management, domestic violence, parenting, family and couples’ relationships, and life transitions.
People seek my professional help for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, something in their lives is just not right. They may wish to make specific changes or to understand themselves better. They may struggle with their relationships, have difficulties in their jobs or studies, and/or old traumas continue to negatively affect their present. Also, sometimes they just don’t know what to do with their inner voice that is too critical and sabotages their lives. Therapy or counseling is not always about making big changes or exploring past issues. It can be used to simply have a place to check-in and stay attuned with themselves.

I believe that the family is the primary context, the "matrix of identity" where we develop ourselves as we interact with spouses, parents, children, and other family members who are in constant transformation, adapting to an ever-changing social environment.
My approach to therapy is based on the belief that behaviors are a function of our relations with others. Thus, a person's environment and history influences one's sense of self and the way we express ourselves as part of a group and as individuals. I try to learn from my client's experiences to develop a better understanding of who they are, how they developed their sense of self, their worldview, and behavior.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
