Hi, I'm Katherine, and I'm glad you found me. I love working with individuals and couples who seek to carve out a new path of hope for themselves. Whether that's moving through a transition, trauma, or just wanting to feel "unstuck", I accompany my clients through the muddy waters of emotions and life circumstances toward greater clarity and new possibilities. Finding a sense of peace and direction, within your own dreams is what we can work toward together. I use tools of mindfulness, somatic awareness, movement , self-compassion, cognitive behavioral techniques, and value-centered acceptance.

I help my clients deal with depression, anxiety, trauma/abuse/PTSD, grief and loss, eating disorders, conflict in their relationships, and life changes & transitions. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Board Certified Dance / Movement Therapist, an EMDR therapist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have over 25 years experience in blending verbal therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and trauma focused therapies such as EMDR with the expressive arts ( dance / movement , art, music, writing). I support adolescents and young adults navigating neurodivergence, coping with mental illness, developing deeper self-awareness and building healthier relationships. Many of my clients seek LGBTQ-affirming care and desire to explore how they express themselves. Some people find it challenging to initially engage with traditional talk therapy, but many young people find the expressive arts to be an access point through which to grow, find healing, and meet their psychosocial needs.

I believe that true emotional healing comes through holistically tending to the body, mind and spirit. I offer full range psychotherapy services that I combine with several Somatic or body-based techniques. As a registered Yoga Teacher, I have been known to incorporate meditation, breathing or physical postures in my sessions. The research shows that trauma, grief and the after effects of some of our experiences are stored in our bodies. What better way to heal or release them from our bodies than to intentionally use body exercises to move this harmful trauma energy out for good. I work with new mothers, children and families.
