My name is Yilmaz Taskin. As a certified Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I offer an open-minded, non-judgmental, and empathetic counseling/therapy approach in a safe and supportive environment. Some problems, in our lives, are either self-imposed or imposed on us by other means. What we perceive might be different than reality. Negative beliefs affect us mentally and physically. Misinterpretations and irrational or self-defeating beliefs can create unhappy feelings, self-doubt, stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, etc. Problems don’t go away by themselves, we need to resolve them.

One afternoon I told my wife that after another tour, I would be leaving the U.S. Coast Guard for a very different career. Serving my country and the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard is one of the greatest honors and privileges of my life. After serving for nine years I knew that directly assisting and serving people is the life-giving work of my heart. I became a Social Worker and therapist because it is my greatest joy and pleasure to support you as you unify all your strengths and gifts to release your Faith, Hope, and Love into society.

Cheryl Fellas, LMHC Cheryl Fellas is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida who has been practicing since 2005. She has a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University with a specialization in Family. Cheryl believes everyone has it in them a way to get healthier, but sometimes they need help and guidance. She uses a combination of cognitive behavioral, dialectical, and trauma-informed care to help them find ways to cope and heal from what has been going on in their lives.

I have been fortunate to have the majority of my referrals come through friends or family of prior clients. The passion I felt when entering the field of counseling 20 years ago, seems even greater today. More individuals and couples are genuinely motivated to seek deeper levels of understanding and self-awareness. Most behavior and thought patterns are learned early in our development. Many suffer due to repeated behavior and choices, involving friends, family, and relationships. Change in the choices we make, often results in positively altering the way we feel, perceive, and live life. Authentic change begins within oneself.

I am interested in working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and experiences. I am passionate about caring for people and engaging the particular ways they struggle, including areas like addiction, sexuality, and trauma, in both individual and group counseling settings. As a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator, I hope to work with couples in their efforts to grow and thrive together. In 2021 I participated in a Bethesda Workshop as a therapist observer in order to better help those struggling with unwanted sexual behavior and/or sexual addiction.

Ian has worked in mental health counseling for over ten years. Ian enjoys working with individuals and couples who want a positive change in their lives. Ian graduated from University of South Florida in 2014 with his MA. Ian is a licensed mental health counselor. Ian's goal is to help people find hope.

Maria Clapp is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor, and Certified School Counselor (K-12) who has been practicing since 1998. She graduated from Argosy University with a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. She graduated from The University of Sarasota with a Masters's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and from La Universidad de Valencia, Spain with a degree in Psychology (Clinical, Organizational, and Educational tracks). Maria believes in a holistic approach, the whole person, and focuses on the aspects of individuals' lives that may be misaligned, causing stress.
