We care personally for you and your family.
All individuals and families go through periods of intense difficulty. ...Sadness, Anxious, Painful and Conflict are words I have used when describing these times. It is important to know that life can get better and we are committed to walking with you to the other side. Many find relief from PTSD, anxiety/ stress, depression, and sexual abuse through our processes. These processes may include "ART" a new eye movement therapy.... Our counseling/coaching team does not just work to repair your marriage; we work to restore it... Our goal is to get to the heart of issues causing your discomfort.

My specialties include the followings: Substance Abuse Treatment, Individual, Couples, Group, and Family Therapy.
Every decision starts with the decision to try. I chose to work in the field of counseling because I am truly satisfied when I am helping others. I work with clients to explore how unresolved issues from the past impact the present. The decision to seek individual therapy can be uncomfortable, but rewarding. The therapeutic process is a unique and collaborative process, in which you are the expert of your experience. When one accepts and validates the therapeutic relationship, it will become a key element in the healing of old wounds and the opening of new possibilities in which will lead to greater personal insight and change.

I use an integrative model that includes CBT, DBT, Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches to help increase your sense of self-worth, explore your thoughts and feelings, challenge the behaviors that keep you stuck, and improve your awareness, communication, and relationships.
It's quite scary isn’t it, venturing the hope that you can face the challenges ahead, move past your insecurities, and heal from past experiences? It takes courage to begin the valuable and vulnerable journey of therapy. I am dedicated to providing a safe and brave space where you can gain tools, insight, and empowerment to discover your path toward fulfillment. I have 10+ years of experience working at the intersections of mental health, spirituality, and adolescent development, supporting teens, parents, and young adults. I am a passionate advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and survivors of religious trauma.

I received my Masters degree in counseling from The University of South Florida and a post Masters degree (EdS) in Marriage and Family Therapy from The College of New Jersey.
If you’re searching for a therapist you know there has to be a good fit between the two of you in order for that partnership to be successful. I don’t believe there is a one size fits all when it comes to life’s challenges and therefore no one size fits all when I work with clients. I take a strength based approach and use various modalities to facilitate insight, reach personal goals and work through issues. My style is non-judgmental, challenging, sensitive, and supportive. I see clients using a telehealth platform. Clients appreciate the ease and effectiveness of this modality. I hope you will also.

If you are searching for therapist with experience, knowledge and focus on your needs, if you are "stuck" in your current situation and don't see your way out, if problems in your relationship or marriage can't seem to be resolved, you should be kind to yourself and seek help. The pressures placed upon us by society, family and ourselves can become a heavy burden to carry alone. I practice optimizing approach to treatment using differential psycho-therapeutics. I believe in uniqueness of individual and situation therefore my approach is the following: different patients - different therapies.

Because therapy is not "one size fits all", I utilize an eclectic range of techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, and humanistic approaches.
I recognize that each of us has an intrinsic drive toward health and happiness. Still, life’s difficulties can create patterns within us that outlast their usefulness. My goal is to guide and empower clients to implement meaningful change. I emphasize a collaborative approach to address the needs of the client most effectively.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
