Are you tired of carrying everything on your own? Maybe you’re feeling anxious, low, or stuck in patterns that trace back to family, culture, or systems that never fully saw you. You might want deeper connection but feel unsure how to trust yourself or others yet. If you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are, where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and feel more grounded, you’re in the right place. I work with people who want more than symptom relief and are seeking clarity, self-trust, and more meaningful relationships.

We cannot change past chapters of our lives. Where we can take power is now, and the future chapters we have yet to write. If we don't address something unhealthy, every aspect of life can become impacted negatively. Whether you are wanting to learn to manage mental health symptoms, begin the transitioning process, seeking help for everyday concerns like relationship issues, job stress or self-doubt, or experiencing difficult times such as divorce and loss, things can improve. I assure you the strength and ability you will use is already residing in you.

Welcome, This probably isn’t the first step you’ve taken on the path towards your own self-actualization. Often, we get really good at getting by and solving the problem on our own. Sometimes we figure it out, and other times we don’t. Or it works for a while, until we hit a new phase. Or maybe, it’s just too difficult to do the dishes when the world is on fire. I see that you’ve been trying, and I see that life is fucking hard. You may not have reached out to someone before now because a safe space wasn't available. You may have felt outcasted, or othered, or morally wrong for feeling what you're feeling.

Choosing to engage in therapy, in a way, means choosing yourself. It is not always easy to believe we can feel better, or even just feel different. Sometimes it’s not easy to accept how we feel is perfectly normal and okay. You’ve learned so much on your journey, I hope to help you see how much you already have and help you on your journey forward, even if that feels really messy or impossible at times. I strive to provide a confidential and accepting space where you can explore how you got here and figure out where you want to go.

Many individuals I see, want to gain clarity on how their past experiences influence how they feel, think, and relate to others. I offer support to clients so we can work together toward their feeling more grounded, clear and connected to themselves.
My therapeutic approach focuses on deeply understanding each client's inner world and supporting them in processing their story. I work with clients to construct accurate and emotionally resonant narratives of their life experiences - narratives that are honest and meaningful.

Transgender Therapists
As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.
What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.
How can I recognize a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognize a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.
How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
