Hello there. My name is Stephen A. Kushner, LMHC. My preferred name is Allen, which is my middle name. I look forward to bringing my 15+ years of experience to you as we go on our journey towards wellness. As a part of providing patient centered therapy, I utilize different theoretical bases, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) in order to give individualized treatment depending on your needs. I have worked with both children and adults in many different settings, from residential dual diagnosis to inpatient psychiatric units.

Quality Life Center is an outpatient behavioral health clinic that provides individual, couples, and family counseling, psychiatric and medication management. Our licensed therapists and registered interns provide counseling both face to face and teletherapy through video conferencing. Our psychiatrist and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Our office is in Duval county with appointments available Monday through Friday. Quality Life Center also offers case management services for children and adults as well as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program for adults 18+.

I am a trained ART Therapist. Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies. Which has shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly usually within few sessions? Clients with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, (PTSD) substance abuse, sexual abuse and many other physical conditions. My ideal client is one who is striving to make a change. In order for this to occur, there must be cooperation and mutual respect between all parties. I will also work with those who are unable to express their feelings & thoughts and who have built these up due to the stigma regarding mental health.

I have worked many years with children, military families,college students, and individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety and PTSD just to name a few. Additionally,I have worked with couples through premarital stages, marital difficulties, divorce, and life after divorce. My work history also include helping families work through various dynamics, adolescent difficulties, and individuals who have found themselves in the criminal justice system.

Mr. Jonathan Valletta is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Masters Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP). He offers counseling treatment for adults and adolescents in areas such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and personality traits. He applies a mindfulness approach with clients to help develop coping skills to more effectively manage stress, anger and difficulties regulating emotions.

I have an extensive background working with children (ages 4 and up) and adolescents related to behavioral issues, anger, and mood disorders. Also many years working with adults, veterans, families, and couples. Goal is to strengthen individuals and families with strategies to develop effective relationships, communication, life and social skills.
