From the girl in the juvenile justice system to the young, professional
woman
dealing with life transition, areas of specialty include trauma, faith deconstruction, spirituality, addiction, anxiety, and career coaching.
Sometimes sh*t happens. And It can be an overwhelming decision to ask for help, especially when contacting a stranger. What happens when the story I have for my life doesn’t go as planned? My dream job isn’t bringing the fulfillment I thought it would. I envisioned myself fully showing up in this world, but now my trauma leaves me powerless beneath my anxiety and depression. I identified with a religion that once gave me freedom, but now it leaves me in bondage. My family was once a safe haven, but now dad is drinking too much and everything I knew is gone.

I have years of experience working one-on-one with
women
- helping them to feel more fulfilled and less stressed and overwhelmed.
Have you been feeling overwhelmed lately? Thinking to yourself: "There's no way things can get any worse" and then feeling like they do. Are you feeling stuck and like you just can't get ahead no matter what you try? Have you recently experienced a loss and are having a difficult time moving forward? Imagine yourself waking up each day with a renewed sense of purpose and meaning. See yourself dealing with life's difficult moments with more peace and grace for yourself and others. It would be nice to sleep peacefully each night and wake up with a new lease on life: no more second guessing, no more self-doubt, no more feeling trapped.

You’ve been to multiple therapists with little to no success. You’re an ambitious, professional
woman
struggling with anxiety and/or sadness. You have past trauma from childhood or adulthood that is haunting you. Your relationships are being affected. You feel stuck. Relationships and parenting can reopen old wounds where we discover we need healing. We can feel triggered. It feels like something is missing, and you don't feel whole. I offer exclusive 3-day intensives where we get to the root of your issue and actually heal it for good. Life is busy, and intensives give you the opportunity to resolve things once and for all.

Change your thoughts and you change your world were words of wisdom spoken so eloquently by Norman Vincent Peale. I believe our thoughts, the manner in which we process our surroundings, have great impact on our emotions and are the root of our actions. I believe awareness of our thoughts and how we choose to process them can change the trajectory of our outcomes. I have experience working with
women
before, during, and after pregnancy, and working with patients with new and/or chronic medical diagnoses. I also have experience working with foster care, adoptions, birth mothers, and potential adoptive parents.

Women
entering into womanhood and motherhood have unique experiences that begin to shape who we are.
You’re used to having it all together. You’re usually the “strong friend”. Showing up for others has become a part of your identity. What they don’t know is sometimes you want someone to hear you when you speak, to find a shoulder to lean on. Sometimes it’s lonely and it can be scary to admit that you go through things too. So much of our lives are shaped by our roles: daughter, sister, student, career
woman
, friend, girlfriend, wife, mother that we sometimes forget who we are individually. There’s so much pressure

, children and families and have been counseling since 2013.
I always look forward to working with individuals who are motivated for self growth and change. The hardest and most courageous thing that a potential client can do is to reach out for help and admit to themselves, "I think I might need some help." Expressing the need for help to someone, especially loved ones is a big deal, and I am here to help guide you towards meeting your goals, whatever they are. I believe we are all seeking peace, happiness and love in some shape or form. So let's work together to make those goals an attainable reality.

Being a new mom is hard. You’re sleep deprived, learning your new little one, and everyone has advice for you. “Sleep when the baby sleeps; you’ll feel better, and happier, when you get a few more hours of sleep; It’s just the baby blues, you’ll be ok in a few weeks; the house work can get done later, make sure the baby is eating enough…” What if you’re still sad after “a few weeks”, you feel scared, anxious, or can't turn your thoughts off? It can start to feel like you are getting through each day in "survival mode". With the help of our knowledgeable counselors, you can stop "surviving" life and start enjoying it.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with teens, young adults and
women
. I believe that the most important part of therapy is empowerment of the individual. I can help by allowing a client to see that they have choices in almost all aspects of their lives. My goal is for a client to leave the room feeling like they can handle anything life throws at them. An empowered person is more likely to be successful in all aspects of their life, and I would love to help you along that journey in getting to where you want to be.

I specialize in
women
’s mental health and enjoy helping
women
who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship issues, work-life balance issues, life transitions, and spiritual warfare.
I believe that in order for individuals to experience an extraordinary life (a life filled with peace, love, joy, and purpose) they must learn how to heal, protect, and strengthen all three parts of themselves - the mind, the body, and the spirit. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy with Christian, biblical principles to address a complexity of issues within an individual, family, couple, or group that may be preventing them from experiencing physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness. Also, my husband, Adewale Disu, a Certified Life Coach, provides life coaching services to men.

I love working with men/
women
from 18+.I help individuals and couples deal with: life transitions such as divorce, relationship concerns, loss, ptsd, anxiety, and depression. I offer traditional talking therapy, body work, meditation, and personal and spiritual counseling. My approach is simple . I must develop an open, trusting relationship, one of mutual respect and safety for my client to grow. I consider my relationship with my client as a partnership, and am interactive, but not confrontational in my approach. Transitions and trauma make it impossible for us not to integrate our spiritual needs with our emotional needs.

I work exclusively with
women
& LGBTQIA+ members experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, BPD, attachment and abandonment wounds, and emotional dysregulation.
Please call me Ally! I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience each other as real people. I can promise you that I am as real as it gets! I work with you to help you identify your desires and empower you to make those positive changes in your life. I recognize that making the choice to seek help can be difficult, so I use an approach that is compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental to help create an environment where you feel supported in your counseling journey.

Is this you? Feel incompetent despite knowledge, experience, and expertise. Are concerned others will find out who you “really are.” Think what you do is never enough. Rarely celebrate accomplishments before moving to another task or project. Believe everything in your life has to be “perfect.” Wear multiple hats (e.g. mom, wife, CEO, sponsor) in your life and feel pulled in multiple directions. Believe you have to meet everyone’s needs. Find time for others but have difficulty making time for yourself. Struggle with self-care. Believe you don’t deserve or shy away from recognition of your accomplishments.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
