During my career, I have worked with both individual and group settings, including adults with people living with HIV, veterans, incarcerated people and transgender/gender variant individuals. These populations included people with depression, bi-polar disorder, personality disorders, anxiety, PTSD and depression. I co-facilitated a group for trans youth and co-coordinated it for 6 years. As a proud bisexual, trans man, I love to work with my LGBT communities. I celebrate kinky and poly people. I strive to be an imperfect ally to non-binary trans people and people of color.

I work with people ages 16 to 103 who are straight, gay, bisexual, a minority, in the majority, male, female, or gender queer, or transgender.
VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY BUT WE HAVE OTHER THERAPISTS ON STAFF TAKING NEW CLIENTS WHO TAKE MANY INSURANCES. There are many things that can stop you from having the sex life you want. Maybe you're having too little sex, you're not enjoying it, or what you're doing doesn't seem to be working. Imagine finding a way to make it better. As a licensed mental health counselor and clinical sexologist, I have worked with hundreds of people looking for ways to improve intimacy, learn more about who they are, and what they like. There are things you could change today that will help get your where you want to be.

I have also done research on the sex lives of bisexual women.
I provide a safe space for people to work on the issues that are causing you stress and may seem to be taking over your life. In therapy, we can work together to set goals and figure out how to achieve them.

Bad habits do not form from fully bad intentions. I believe that most people do the best that they can with what they have available to them at the time. As a result, I often see people stuck in self-destructive or harmful patterns that they themselves don't know how they got there. Change begins when we start to have the feeling that these old patterns and ways of being are no longer working for us in the way that they used to. The feeling that something has to change, and maybe feeling lost or defeated in how to make a meaningful change, may have been what lead you here.

My ideal client is one looking for a change, maybe not sure as to how they will arrive at that change but looking for one nonetheless. I would want to be a supportive force helping to identify, examine, and develop goals related to making that change. From there we would be able to work to reach those goals. I primarily excel working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, depression, anxiety, trauma concerns, and addictions.

Most people seek someone on the outside looking in, someone to truly listen with no judgement. Someone that is able to hold space, while we process our darkest and our brightness; where we bare it all and come to a space, where we find solace in our core with the tools needed for our daily struggles.

We cannot change past chapters of our lives. Where we can take power is now, and the future chapters we have yet to write. If we don't address something unhealthy, every aspect of life can become impacted negatively. Whether you are wanting to learn to manage mental health symptoms, begin the transitioning process, seeking help for everyday concerns like relationship issues, job stress or self-doubt, or experiencing difficult times such as divorce and loss, things can improve. I assure you the strength and ability you will use is already residing in you.

Sometimes it's hard to reach out for help. There are pressures to perform, to look like we have no emotional or physical pain. Many of us are guarded and have our walls up because we have been hurt so badly. Some might say that you're not strong because you need to see a therapist, or you've been taught not to air your dirty laundry. I'm here to encourage you that there is virtually nothing that can't be helped in a good client therapist relationship. Timing is very important too. My ideal client is ready to enter into therapy. They are willing to try new skills to meet their goals in therapy, and enjoys a direct approach.

My goal as a therapist is to support you during difficult life transitions. These transitions may include becoming a parent, starting or ending a marriage, leaving home for the first time, or untying yourself from a religious identity that was once important to you. Transitions and changes may evoke a sense of grief and loss, regardless if it's positive, negative, or neutral. As a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, I can help you with the difficult emotions that are associated with these changes. Our sessions would focus on finding the root of your symptoms, processing your grief, and starting your healing journey.

My clients understand that that change takes work and commitment to personal growth. Together, we create a personalized roadmap to achieve goals, so that clients can move forward feeling empowered by the positive changes made in their lives. Sometimes that means examining what's happened in the past that led to current events, and using a strengths-based approach to navigating a path forward. My approach is trauma-informed and inclusive of all genders, sexualities, ages, spiritualities, and ethnicities. I consider myself as a guide on your personal journey and will strive to meet you where you are on your path to whole wellness.

I believe in meeting people where they are at. Some clients come to me with a clear idea of their goals for therapy while others don’t know where to start. There are situations in life that are difficult to navigate alone and I believe that providing a safe space to work through the challenges life throws at us is crucial.
