You're thoughtful, insightful, and genuinely want to grow, yet you keep finding yourself in the same places. You know you're capable of more ease, connection, and fulfillment, but something keeps getting in the way. Knowing why you react the way you do hasn't created the change you're looking for. The same fears, reactions, or patterns hijacking your life.
If you're ready to move beyond insight into deeper healing, I'd love to help. I work with adults seeking greater self-awareness, healing from past wounds, and a stronger sense of agency. Together, we explore what’s beneath the surface so meaningful, lasting change can take root.

I generally rely on an integrative approach drawing on psychodynamic, family systems, process-experiential, and cognitive-behavioral modalities.
My clients seek my services with a variety of issues, needs, and goals. Many simply want to talk and work through problems or find their way! Some are experiencing debilitating emotional and psychological pain related to loss, isolation, trauma, or self-sabotage. Others are dealing with interpersonal struggles in their key relationships, at work and in the classroom, on the dating scene, and amongst their friends and acquaintances. Still others are coming to terms with deep insecurities, behavioral patterns, addictions, and recurrent crises, — and believe they are the problem!

I believe relationships to be essential to how we develop into ourselves and extend ourselves to have a positive impact in our work, families, and communities. I think that many people seek therapy to unlock the love, hope, and dignity we all have available to us, and which sometimes become inaccessible or obscured by our fears and past hurts. I am interested in understanding and exploring your concerns, and finding ways to address them together in a safe and secure healing relationship.

Using evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, REBT, and EMDR, we help clients develop coping skills, manage symptoms, and improve overall.
Are you having issues dealing with chronic medical conditions, creating anxiety, depression, anger, or other emotions? Are the medical issues causing medical trauma when dealing with the system? This is very common these days, given the way insurance companies treat patients and providers, which is so frustrating. As a therapist who also has chronic medical conditions, I know what it is like to be told it is all in my head before I was even diagnosed, and the trauma of dealing with a severe condition makes you have mental health issues.

Do you find yourself struggling to connect in your relationships, no matter what you do? Are you fed up with feeling anxious and unworthy, doubting if anyone sees the real you or would love you if they did? You might not remember a time when you didn't feel this way. Often these feelings started in our early relationships and it becomes a cycle that repeats with every new person we get close to. It even bleeds into raising a family when you had every intention of giving your kids a better life. Right now, you are ready to break that cycle, to get your needs met without sacrificing connection and closeness. Most of all, to feel safe.

I know how hard it can be to find a therapist who genuinely understands your experiences and creates a space where you feel comfortable being fully yourself. Life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges can feel overwhelming. Therapy should be a collaborative, judgment-free space where you can safely unpack those experiences, build insight, and develop tools that support meaningful and lasting change. As both a psychotherapist and someone who values the importance of identity-affirming spaces, I understand that healing does not come from judgment or “fixing” who you are.

My modalities are trauma-informed care, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy ( CBT).
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) I hope to be a guide on an individuals journey to healing. As a mother to a son with Autism, I hope to help other parents that have children with disabilities and learning differences (Whether that be through therapy with the child or the parent). I have experience in schools and applied behavioral analysis, so I've learned many skills that go beyond therapy. I also have worked highly with anxious and depressed individuals that need a support system. I always keep an open heart and open mind and believe in changing and finding ways to help all my clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) Therapists
How does cognitive behavioral therapy work?
Cognitive behavioral therapy works by exploring how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. CBT helps you identify distortions in your thinking. For example, you may tend to jump to the worst case scenario catastrophizing or think in extremes (all-or-nothing thinking). A therapist can teach you how to push back against those thoughts to ultimately change your feelings and behavior for the better. They can also provide coping skills to better deal with stressors and challenges.
When do I know to seek treatment with cognitive behavioral therapy?
It’s reasonable to consider cognitive behavioral therapy if you struggle to manage difficult emotions or behaviors to such an extent that you are not getting the most out of life on a day-to-day basis. If you want a shorter term, concrete, skills-based approach, CBT is a great option. (By contrast, other types of therapy may devote more time to exploring your past and its effects.) The decision to seek CBT also depends on the condition you’re treating; CBT is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, and many other disorders.
How can I find a cognitive behavioral therapist for someone else?
To find a cognitive behavioral therapist for someone else, you may want to begin by discussing the person’s problem, researching cognitive behavioral therapy, and assessing whether the approach is the right fit. You could then reach out to a few cognitive behavioral therapists in this directory, explain the scenario, have a consultation with those available, and determine who could be a good match.
Why is CBT such a popular form of therapy?
CBT has become a popular form of therapy because it is effective and accessible. Robust research has demonstrated that CBT is an effective treatment for many mental health conditions. And CBT can be learned in relatively few sessions, which means that many people can engage in the process, afford it, and see results quickly. It involves learning concrete skills such as disputing unhelpful thoughts; these skills can also be taught and spread widely.
