I enjoy working with individuals from 10 to 60 who are working through life transitions, grief, pregnancy/infant loss, perinatal mood disorders/postpartum and would like to improve their current life situation, emotional awareness, and coping skills. They are in need of an empathetic and supportive therapist who has lived experience with trials and triumpth throughout a lifespan. They are aware that even if they do not know what is going on, they do know they would like to improve their life.

I know what it’s like to look like you are holding it all together - you put on the mask and do all the things, but inside, you are barely holding on. Stressed out, burnt out, paralyzed with anxiety. Overwhelmed with life, relationships, and responsibilities. Stuck in survival mode, trying to keep those big feelings at bay. Asking for help feels impossible, but you are doing it. You’re ready to reconnect to your authentic self, leave behind old patterns, break generational cycles, and you know you have what it takes - you just need someone in your corner to help you get there. If this sounds like you, I’m so ready to join you!

Having worked with adolescents, families, couples, and individuals in a therapeutic environment, I realize there are many challenges that are placed on families and marriages today. I can also recognize the need to be proactive and provide resources that help create a sense of connectedness and skills that can withstand the daily stressors of life.

We're all on the journey to our best authentic self. Sometimes depression, anxiety and trauma get in the way of that journey. I place the autonomy of my clients at the top of my list. This means that you're in the driver's seat as we examine your personal or relationship issues. I have worked in Human Services for 23 years and received my license in 2015. I am LGBTQ affirming. I have deep experience in domestic violence, sexual assault and suicide prevention. I have a very friendly, laid back approach to put you quickly at ease. I'd love to be your therapist.

I specialize in helping clients work through relational problems. One of the challenges I help clients work through is when one is in a relationship with another presenting with Narcissistic traits. When a client comes to me thinking something is wrong with them after being in such a toxic and emotionally abusive relationship, I help them find themselves again and realize they are not to blame. Helping clients understand they do not deserve to be treated like that is a way I feel most helpful.

We often imagine our lives being lived differentially but until we make those steps to change we continue down the path of cycling through pain, discomfort, and often instability. We all have in us the ability and capability to make both cognitive and behavioral changes. Sometimes this is complicated due to depression, grief, anxiety, trauma etc. Allow me to help you through your journey to wellness with the different forms of therapy I offer and interventions as needed, even if it is just someone to talk to.

Hi! My name is Erin. I am a Licensed Therapist with 10 years of experience working with clients with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief & loss, pregnancy, prenatal, postnatal, parenting, children issues, self esteem and identity, life limiting illnesses, and overall life struggles. Starting my own private practice to help others in need has always been a life-long passion. During these trying times, and need for constant adjustment to society, I feel there is no better time to offer individualized therapy that focuses on optimizing overall mental health and well-being. Seeking therapy is a big first step.

I have over 25 years of experience with adolescents and adults. I truly want to help people be the best version of themselves. Life can be hard, and we all need help to move through difficulties. Many of us suffered trauma or loss early in our lives and we need help recovering and growing. Many of my clients are experiencing a transition in their life due to death of a loved one, divorce, children leaving the home, or moving into adult life.

Hello! Do you ever feel like "you are losing your mind" or "going crazy"? Do you feel like you want to share your feelings with someone but are scared or ashamed, or feeling like you should be able to "fix" your problems? Well, I think most people feel this way from time to time and it helps to have an objective, non-judgemental person to talk with.

Online Therapists

Is online therapy as effective as in-person?

Numerous studies suggest that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. However, further research is needed to determine if online therapy provides the same benefits across all client populations. Individuals with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or those who may benefit from in-person check-ins, like those with eating disorders, may not experience the same level of benefit from online therapy. Nonetheless, the success of online therapy, much like in-person therapy, often hinges on the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client rather than the specific modality of therapy used.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of therapy conducted online?

One of the main advantages of online therapy is its convenience for both clients and therapists. It also allows clients who require specialized therapy to access a wider range of professionals than they could with only in-person sessions. Additionally, online therapy may be a more affordable option in some cases and often offers the same insurance benefits as in-person therapy. However, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who value face-to-face interaction with a therapist. Therapists may find it more challenging to assess clients accurately in an online setting due to reduced nonverbal cues on camera. There is also the increased risk that disruptions caused by external factors, such as technology malfunctions, can hinder the therapy session. For these reasons, many therapists offer a "hybrid" therapeutic approach, alternating between seeing clients in-person and online.

Is online therapy suitable for children and adolescents?

Just like with adults, the accessibility and convenience of online therapy can greatly benefit children and adolescents. In fact, children and adolescents may be more accustomed to navigating online platforms than older adults, making online sessions feel more natural for them. Teens might also be interested in using additional online tools, such as therapist-recommended apps, as an adjunct to online therapy sessions. Apps for developing CBT skills, practicing mindfulness exercises, or tracking thoughts and moods can be helpful for teens receiving therapy. However, it's important to note that not all therapeutic modalities are well-suited to online therapy, especially those used with younger children. For example, play therapy, which helps younger children express their emotions, often requires in-person sessions to be fully effective.

Can I receive prescriptions and medication management with online therapy?

The ability for psychiatrists to prescribe medications through online therapy varies based on the medication and the states where the medical professional and client are located. While many prescribing regulations were relaxed during the COVID-19 pandemic, some states still enforce rules, especially concerning controlled substances, which may mandate an in-person visit before prescribing. Generally, however, medical professionals can prescribe non-controlled substances through online therapy sessions just as they do during in-person sessions.
