I feel it is a privilege to work with individuals and families on their journey to wellness. Clients have shared with me that I'm relaxed, warm, and easy to talk to. Therapy is an important decision and most effective when we work together to create change in your life. I find that for most of us, life can present very difficult issues. In a safe and trusting environment, I believe we can explore our pain and challenges and recognize our resilience.

You may be used to being the one everyone depends on and carrying a lot of responsibility in your life and career, especially in high-functioning fields like STEM, law, and sales, or in demanding roles at home. Over time, this can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and constantly “on,” even when you’re trying to rest. Many clients come to therapy feeling burnt out, mentally overloaded, and stuck in overdrive. In our work together, we focus on understanding these patterns, reducing internal pressure, and helping you feel more grounded, supported, and present.

I am passionate about helping clients move past the labels they come in with. Many of us carry labels from diagnoses we've received or given ourselves, as well as negative core beliefs such as feeling like a failure, a mistake, or not good enough. My goal is to help clients move beyond these labels and see themselves as they were truly created to be. I strive for each client to leave their sessions feeling stronger, wiser, and capable of forming deeper relationships, grounded in their true selves. I meet my clients where they are and work collaboratively to address their therapeutic goals. Click on my website to get started!

My ideal clients are women, professionals, and caregivers who carry a lot and are ready to feel more like themselves again. Maybe your brain won't shut off at night, you replay conversations for days, or you're always scanning for the next problem. If you're already tired, talking in circles for years sounds less than stellar—and that's not this. Therapy with me feels like a real conversation: warm, practical, and unpolished, in English or Spanish. Anxiety is a convincing liar. Together, we'll quiet the noise, strengthen your boundaries, and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

As a parent, you aren't failing; you are simply navigating a world that wasn't built for your child’s unique brain.
My approach is analytical yet deeply empathetic. As a certified parenting instructor, I provide the psychoeducation you need to understand the "why" behind the behavior. We work on high-impact skills: time management, organization, and self-regulation. We’ll also address perfectionism and "cognitive restructuring", changing the way you talk to yourself.

I help parents manage stress, change conflict patterns, and focus on their priorities for themselves and for their kids.
Focusing on emotions is important, because emotions are clues to our needs and our values. Feelings aren't facts and they can't rule our lives, but they can give us a road map to better communication and goal-setting. Becoming mindful of emotions, and teaching mindful coping skills, is an essential part of my practice.

I work with adults and parents dealing with anxiety and depression who are tired of feeling this way and want things to actually change.
I use CBT, DBT, and a client-centered approach to help you understand what’s really going on and learn tools you can actually use. We’ll slow things down, figure out your patterns, and work on responding differently instead of just reacting.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
