Also specializing in treating women with anxiety/ depression due reproductive health concerns.
Being a new mom is hard. You’re sleep deprived, learning your new little one, and everyone has advice for you. “Sleep when the baby sleeps; you’ll feel better, and happier, when you get a few more hours of sleep; It’s just the baby blues, you’ll be ok in a few weeks; the house work can get done later, make sure the baby is eating enough…” What if you’re still sad after “a few weeks”, you feel scared, anxious, or can't turn your thoughts off? It can start to feel like you are getting through each day in "survival mode". With the help of our knowledgeable counselors, you can stop "surviving" life and start enjoying it.

Currently accepting new clients on Fridays and Saturdays. Maybe you recently noticed something just started bothering you or your child...or maybe you've been struggling with feelings you don't like for quite a while. There is lots of research that says talking about your problems with a licensed professional can be helpful. I hope I can be that person for you or your child.

Thank you for visiting my profile! I like to use a gentle, caring, non-judgmental and creative approach. I have helped clients overcome anxiety, depression , PTSD, addiction, grief and other mental health concerns. Do you suffer from the pain of addiction? This a double dose of pain. Addiction stems from trauma and negative experiences, and living with addiction only adds to the burden. I help people with addictions by using EMDR. This therapy helps clients become desensitized to the power of urges, triggers and cravings, as it installs positive beliefs, behaviors and emotions. Change is organic and it fosters healthy thinking!

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
