Are you and your partner stuck and frustrated? Do arguments escalate, going on and on until you're both left feeling exhausted, defensive and misunderstood. Perhaps betrayal -- financial, emotional or sexual, has occurred and you can't repair the wounds because the hurt and separation have pushed you apart. Worse yet, when you try to connect, one of you says the wrong thing, and the effort fails, leaving the other feeling rejected, deflated or resigned. This isn't what you want, but you're unable to regain harmony and trust. You need help.

Individuals who struggle with sexual addiction, and couples are my ideal clients. I work with couples and individuals struggling with sexual addictions & infidelity . The process of working together is like a puzzle; together we lay out all the pieces on the table, look at them together, first finding the corner pieces, and then complete the puzzle from the inside-out, until the last piece is in place. I started Fort Lauderdale Behavior Therapy so I can help individuals, couples and families who suffer from the life damaging, often devastating effects of infidelity , sex and porn addiction.

Our greatest growth happens during our toughest times, and you may be enduring such a time – whether in your relationship, or as an individual. You may be struggling in your relationship – you may be having trouble communicating, talking over each other, arguing, and saying hurtful things. You may feel disconnected and lonely. You may be struggling with intimacy, longing for that spark that once existed but is nowhere to be found. You may feel like you’re not seen, heard or valued in your relationship. You may be struggling to work through a betrayal – you may want to get to the other side, but you just don’t know the way.

With over 24 years experience in helping couples, I can help you both overcome what is creating that wedge between you - from trauma and infidelity to fears, anger, and trust issues.
It's so hard to be you isn't it? Being in a relationship and not feeling heard. Your needs not getting met. You're questioning if you should stay or leave. You've tried communicating in every way you can think of or not communicating and letting things "slide", but nothing changes. The frustration and resentment just builds. Before you make the decision to leave or decide to just sweep it under the rug and continue to be in pain, let me work with both of you.

I will help you create the relationship you desire, even if your current relationship is "not working" for you - and even if the patterns of anger, hurt, and resentment have been in place for long periods of time. I have seen relationships transform even when things seem hopeless! I can help you bring back balance and harmony into all your relationships: romantic, marriage, family, parent/child, business. What my clients have found is that, as balance in relationship is healed and restored, this new "way of living" completely transforms many aspects of their lives, including their material wealth and abundance.

Infidelity Therapists

How does therapy for infidelity work?

A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?

Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?

When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?

Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
