Young adults and working professionals, especially those working in healthcare and related fields, as well as college students. Over the years, I have tailored my practice towards those who take care of others, put others first, or put their future first. When I previously rounded on medical floors, I noticed that every hospital patient had one thing in common - they generally put themselves and their current needs last in their daily lives. I like to help people seek balance, and I love working with people who are interested in self-discovery, psychology, and navigating life's many stressors.

I am best positioned to serve adult individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship struggles, family issues, grief and loss, health, and midlife challenges—especially during transitional shifts like menopause and changes in family, at the workplace, and in social roles. Many of my clients are insightful and capable but privately feel emotionally stuck or disconnected. They may notice repeating patterns and struggle to find balance and a sense of joy and peace in their lives.

I help men who have spent years taking care of everyone else begin listening to themselves with more honesty, compassion, and care. Not because they are weak, but because that space was never offered to them. What looks like anger, shutdown, or self-sabotage is often something much older trying to get out. I also work with couples and with fellow therapists who are ready for their own deep work.

Are you a Veteran seeking a Nexus letter? My primary focus is providing Mental Health Evaluations along with Nexus letters for Veterans seeking mental health benefits from the VA. I have assisted many veterans throughout the process, including preparing them for their C&P exam, obtaining additional medical documentation, and providing support and guidance throughout. Don’t let anxiety, depression, trauma or relationship struggles take one more second from your life! I work with couples, adults, teens and children who want to overcome anxious thoughts, past hurts and relationship struggles. When an adult steps in my office, I help them feel actual relief from anxiety, depression and past trauma because I use EMDR a proven treatment that is more than just talking. In my work with kids, I use play therapy, involving laughter, play, and building new skills. Unlike traditional talk therapy, your kids won’t feel bored in my office, but they will be learning new skills that can lasting change.

Hello, and welcome. I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or major life changes. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or struggling to manage the constant pressure of everyday life. Some have difficulty opening up to others, while others are simply tired of carrying everything on their own and want healthier ways to cope, communicate, and move forward.

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
