I am a guide for a person or system seeking truth and peace who may be in the dark as to what blocks them in their journey. The guidance involves improving self awareness to identify needs, and helping an individual or system learn and practice skills to move towards fulfillment or those needs.

Most of us have goals. We may not recognize them as much, or it may feel like “just getting by” at times, but most of us yearn for something a little more than where we currently stand. It may look like climbing out of the pit of addiction, finally putting boundaries on unhealthy relationships or getting personal struggles under control. As a military career veteran, I feel that I can offer a unique perspective and approach to problem solving and goal setting. My experiences have cultivated an insight into human behavior, both in the quiet times and in the height of intensity that few therapist can replicate.

I provide online individual therapy utilizing evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution Focused Therapy. I specialize in substance abuse, depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders. I do not work with complex trauma.

When life is overwhelming, it is helpful to have a safe person to talk to as well as someone with an outside viewpoint to look at things in a different way. I believe in working together with you, as the client, to accomplish your goals and catering my approach to your needs. The therapeutic relationship should be healing, and I strive to create a safe and trusting environment for clients to grow in.

I Counsel from a Biblical worldview to help a variety of people who have been broken and challenged by the trials of life. I am a member of Focus on The Family's Christian Counselors Network. My 30 years in the business world, community and church service have prepared me to care for individuals in a particularly personal way. Life can be very hard, disappointing and messy!
