Things in your life feel off, emotions overwhelm you daily, your relationships suffer, and nothing feels like it can change for the better. Taking action to get help feels hard but you know something needs to change. Therapy is an evidence-based approach that will get to the root of what's going on and allow for meaningful change.
I offer evening and weekend hours. I provide a non-judgmental environment for individuals who may be feeling depressed, worried, anxious, dejected, overwhelmed, angry, tired, ashamed, self-critical or defeated. We will examine what's currently bothering you, as well as events in your past that may contribute to your current struggles. I will work with you to identify thoughts, emotions, or internal dilemmas that may be keeping you "stuck" or blocked from your goals. I sometimes introduce clinical hypnosis as a component of treatment for symptom relief or self-exploration.

Since 1997 I have been providing care to clients struggling with varying degrees of mental health and life issues. I work with a diverse population and provide individual, couples and family therapy in an outpatient setting.
My therapy approach is client-centered and requires each client to be actively involved in creating their own life changes within the context of their family system and/or their identified social network.
My therapeutic approach is uniquely tailored to your individual needs and goals in therapy. A cognitive behavioral approach serves as the foundation, and we will explore how our thoughts influence our feelings and in turn our behavior. By changing our thinking and subsequently our behavior, we develop coping skills that enable you to make better choices and lead a happier and healthier existence. I have over a decade of clinical experience and have helped countless people change their lives for the better. I look forward to doing the same for you!
HI! I take a holistic and caring approach to helping you navigate the issues you are experiencing. Together we'll explore your full potential.
Venezuelan-born, Miami-raised native with a passion for helping individuals, couples and families achieve health within themselves and in their relationships. I firmly believe that healthy individuals can produce healthy homes and healthy homes can produce healthy individuals but somewhere along the way, culture and our surroundings make an attempt to lead us astray, leading us far from what we want to build and who we want to be. Allow me to join you on your journey of redesigning your life, your relationships and let’s commit to flourishing in every aspect of it.
It is inevitable that each one of us faces adversity. Have you found it difficult to make changes, heal or find meaning on your own? Together we can discover new insights into your struggles and implement sustainable tools to forge new paths and patterns. I tailor strategies aligning with your values, beliefs and culture. I consider the impact of family, environment, systemic inequalities, historical context and sociopolitics on your current experiences. Throughout our work together, I encourage your questions and feedback to ensure that you are getting what you need!
It takes a lot of courage to seek support & confront life’s stressors. Whether you are struggling with anxiety-related concerns, OCD, adjustment issues, stress, depression, or feeling stuck in your circumstances, I am hopeful that we can work together to reach your goals. I am passionate about forming a therapeutic alliance to help people develop strengths and skills to cope with their challenges.
Empowerment is key in therapy. I have more than 25 years' experience in the field, and am ready to heal the psychological issues in your life. Call me. Let me guide you as far as you are motivated to heal. I have strategies to help you work through whatever is keeping you away from wellness and joy. My expertise is in women's issues, LGBT, trauma, substance abuse, crisis counseling, and all chronic disorders including depression, bi-polar, anxiety and addiction. Also, my mother had Alzheimer's for whom I was the caretaker. I know about the family issues which surface.
I come from a line of proud, strong Cuban womxn, raised in the mixed messaging of meeting their expectations while remaining obedient + self-sacrificing. Playing the roles that made my family proud, I ignored my truth + remained disconnected from my own dreams. My ongoing journey of unlearning + returning to my intuitive, sacred Self is what led me to learn, explore, + expand on ways to share this possibility with others. I support 1st gen, 30-something, womxn in releasing cycles of overwhelm + emotional exhaustion that keep them playing small.
I help neurodivergent people understand themselves so they can thrive. It is an honor to walk with young people (and their families) as they get clear on their core values and grow to spend more time on what they care about. A lot can get in the way of our goals, like enjoying time with friends/family, reaching our potential at school/work...I often slow things down at first. I've met so many people who are tired of coping skills being jammed down their throat. Before jumping into solutions-mode, I like to take time to understand my clients' challenges, define their idea of success, and collaborate on the path to get there.
After years of working in a nationally recognized eating disorder treatment center, I have decided to take my experience into private practice. My goal is to provide individualized treatment using an integrative approach of evidenced based interventions combined with process oriented and experiential techniques.
Entering into a relationship with a Licensed Mental Therapist is an important decision to make. We look for someone with the hope that we can feel better and live happier, more balanced lives. I believe that my role as a licensed mental health therapist is to assist you in reconnecting with strengths that you already possess, to help you in developing new skills and techniques that empower you and meet your goals. I have been in practice for over 16 years and have helped with individuals ranging from adults to children.
