Now is the time for a positive change in your life. Even the smallest one can create a butterfly effect and unravel the greatest good for you and others in the world. Yes, you matter. And yes, therapy is not easy but quite rewarding for the braves. You might have also heard that for a change to occur you might have to do « the work » and face your shadows, the parts and qualities that you might have disown and repressed from your consciousness. The good news is that suffering is always optional. Progress is not. If you don’t grow emotionally, you lose experientially. Your choice. Reclaim your story and become the hero in your life.

I support children, teens, young adults, and their families by providing compassionate care that’s grounded in evidence. My approach is collaborative and flexible, shaped by each individual’s unique needs and developmental stage. I offer practical tools and a warm, supportive space to help clients build resilience and grow with confidence. Sometimes that means supporting a toddler’s emotional regulation, helping a teen navigate anxiety or working with parents to strengthen communication and connection within the family. I aim to meet each client where they are and walk alongside them as they move forward.

If you’ve experienced trauma—especially over a long period of time—you may feel overwhelmed, on edge, or disconnected from yourself and others. You might find it hard to trust, to relax, or even to put your experiences into words. Part of you may want help, while another part feels unsure or afraid to open up. That makes sense. Your responses are not signs of weakness—they are ways your mind and body have tried to protect you. You deserve a space where you feel seen, respected, and supported. If you’re ready—or even just considering taking that first step—I invite you to reach out.

I work with adults who are used to carrying a great deal while still appearing capable, dependable, and composed. Many are veterans, first responders, or professionals in demanding, high-responsibility roles. Others simply know what it feels like to live under pressure for a long time and start feeling the toll it has taken. They often seek therapy when stress, burnout, trauma, anxiety, or disconnection begin affecting how they feel, function, or relate to themselves and others.

For many gay men, the work of hiding started long before we had words for it. Shaped by years of adapting and shrinking ourselves to stay safe or connected, we navigate shame, identity, fear of rejection, and the emotional weight of growing up in a world that didn't fully affirm who we are. These patterns make sense as survival strategies, but in adulthood they show up as people-pleasing, avoidance, emotional shutdown, difficulty letting others in, or struggling to build intimate relationships. Therapy is a space to understand those patterns and respond to life in ways that feel more like you.

You think a lot about your relationships. You replay conversations, analyze texts, vent to friends, and wonder why certain patterns keep repeating. You want a space where you can talk openly — unpack what happened, make sense of your reactions, and understand your deeper patterns. You’re insightful and expressive, but you’re tired of feeling anxious, frustrated, or stuck. You don’t want surface-level advice; you want clarity, confidence, and relationships that actually feel secure and aligned.

Healing is a relational process in which therapist and client begin a journey of discovering the self through the therapist's creation of a place the client feels felt, seen, safe, understood, soothed, and secure. A womb is created in the room of therapy. This is a recreation of the mother-infant bonding and positive attachment that was lacking or inadequate. In this client-therapist relationship, healing is achieved through playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy.

Testing and Evaluation Therapists
What is a psychological evaluation?
A psychological evaluation is a test or assessment most commonly administered by a trained psychologist that is intended to be used in the diagnosis of specific psychological conditions, such as ADHD, mood disorders, personality disorders, dementia or Alzheimer's, and learning disabilities. Psychological evaluations can help inform future treatment decisions and help direct clients to professionals and resources that may be most helpful, such as potential therapy options or additional school supports.

Can psychological evaluations be done on individuals of any age group?
Psychological evaluations are conducted on individuals of all ages and can be beneficial to individuals across the lifespan. However, specific types of evaluations may be most frequently conducted on individuals of certain age groups. For instance, ADHD or learning disability testing is often conducted in children ages 4-12--the period of time when ADHD symptoms most commonly emerge. In contrast, cognitive functioning assessments, such as those conducted to diagnose dementia, are most commonly conducted in elderly individuals. Clients should ensure that the psychologist they are seeing has specific expertise in conducting evaluations in their age group to ensure they receive a correct diagnosis.

How long does a psychological evaluation take?
Psychological evaluations vary in length depending on the test being administered and the goals of the evaluation; however, most evaluations are 2-4 hours in length. Some evaluations may take as long as 8 hours but can often be spread across multiple days. In some cases, clients will also attend an intake session or interview, which can help the psychologist assess client functioning outside of the testing environment.

How should I prepare for a psychological test and evaluation?
Individuals do not need to prepare for psychological tests or evaluations in most cases, as they are intended to measure a client's baseline psychological status without test-specific preparation. However, clients may want to brainstorm a list of questions for their psychologist about any tests they are receiving prior to the assessment, including what potential outcomes may mean for what next steps the client should take.
