I am trained in EMDR and EFIT to help clients with complex trauma.
Accepting Clients! Entry to therapy can hold many fears for individuals, but nonetheless you are here and that is worth celebrating. I work with individuals who experienced long-term trauma, including those who had difficult or culturally complex childhoods. It’s important to take the time to understand and make sense of one's experiences to move through it. My ideal client is someone who spent some time in therapy or is brand new to therapy and is hoping to go deeper in one's understanding. I like to remind my clients that what makes therapy unique is it is an external space to explore internal topics, so no topic is a silly topic!

My approach to therapy is integrative and personalized, combining Person-Centered Therapy, EMDR, somatic techniques, art, and attachment-focused therapy to support your healing in a way that feels right for you.
Your story is important, and you deserve to be heard. Whether you’re carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling with life’s challenges, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, you don’t have to face it on your own. Healing is not about erasing the past but about leaning into your resilience, honoring the strength that has carried you this far, and creating space for growth and self-compassion. It’s about shifting from survival to healing, from enduring to truly living.

I see myself as an eclectic therapist, blending diverse modalities including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
My ideal clients are those who have faced traumatic experiences and are grappling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD, which can leave them feeling vulnerable, immobilized, and stuck. Trauma has the capacity to strip individuals of their sense of dignity and identity, often leaving them feeling empty and helpless. These clients seek the support and the desire to be acknowledged, heard, and treated with respect. My dream clients are individuals who are ready and willing to embark on a collaborative journey with me to explore and address their mental health, ultimately working together towards their well-being.

"I am EMDR trained.
We invest time and energy in the parts of our lives that are most important, but what is more crucial than your relationship with yourself? How YOU feel about yourself impacts all aspects of your life. Everyone faces challenges: sometimes, they are personal disappointments or relationship challenges, or issues around parenting. Maybe you have survived a traumatic experience. Therapy is a place to work through difficulties with someone trained to help you become your best self. Let me help you make sense of everything in your life that feels out of control. Together, we can work to positively impact the issues you are facing.

I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy.
When life feels overwhelming, our minds can convince us that we are alone in our daily challenges and during our most difficult times. We get used to handling it on our own. I believe there is a better way. Working with a psychotherapist who can deeply connect with where you are on your healing journey can be transformative. Transformation might look like addressing symptoms, resolving a problem, or seeking something more. By guiding you to deeper insights and clearer understandings, together, we are better able to confront the barriers that may be holding you back from the life you want to live.

I use several modalities in treating clients from EMDR to narrative and Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
Congratulations on taking a step toward personal growth! Asking for help can be so hard, so please know that this demonstrates significant strength. Life can be wonderful and beautiful, but we all go through pain at some point. From my own personal journey, I have come to embrace the truth that every obstacle is an opportunity to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I function with an unwavering belief at the core of my practice: Change happens....the only true barrier to change is ourselves. Over the past decade, I've helped clients work through a wide spectrum of problems.

My favorite treatment methods include EMDR for resolving prior impacting experiences and performance anxiety.
You’ve worked hard to build the life you have - but lately, it’s not working for you. Whether you're an executive managing personnel, a professional feeling overwhelmed, or simply exhausted by everything you're juggling, I help high-functioning women recover from burnout and rediscover clarity, purpose, and energy. You’re used to being the one others count on. You lead, support, and deliver - but it’s a lonely position. When burnout creeps in, it can feel like you’re running on fumes but can’t slow down. Balance is hard to find while meeting everyone’s, including your own, expectations.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
