I specialize in narcissistic abuse and trauma. This includes narcissistic abuse from parents, partners, family members, in the workplace and in high conflict divorce. Whether from someone who is borderline, narcissistic, emotionally immature or self-absorbed, the impact of trauma has a profound effect. I will help you heal the confusion, self-doubt and pain these relationships cause. I believe unhealed trauma is at the root of most of our pain and suffering. Unhealed trauma is stored in the body and it will stay there unless we actively work to release it.

Infidelity? Porn addiction? Sex addiction? Love Addiction? Trauma? I have specialized training so that you're not wasting your time and money. Not just talk, talk, talk that gets you nowhere. I used evidence-based treatments so that you're feeling better soon. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT), and a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT), I'm trained in many addictions and compulsive behavior, as well as substance addictions. Most therapists aren't trained in all these issues. I offer EMDR trauma therapy, as well. There is hope.

In Aesop’s fable, The Oak and The Reeds, the oak tree brags to the reeds that he is mighty and strong and can endure much more than the reeds ever could. At the end of the fable, the massive oak tree has fallen over in the hurricane while the little reeds were able to stand up, as they were able to bend in the storm and not break as the oak tree did. Therapy can teach us how to manage life’s storms so we survive just as the little reeds did. Life is full of challenges and we all experience mental health concerns for many reasons, including grief, illness, and even just the challenges of living in today's complicated world.

I believe that empowerment is an essential and powerful tool in the healing process. I approach the therapist-client relationship with an open heart and mind, building upon trust, collaboration, and empathy to produce transformative outcomes. I seek to facilitate change by entering the client’s psychological world; this allows me to focus on the lived experiences of each individual and the personal meaning behind their circumstances past, present, and future to determine the most effective therapeutic interventions. My holistic approach to psychotherapy focuses on the overall relationship between mind, body & spirit!

Life always throws us curveballs. You can do everything to set yourself up to thrive, but life happens. The key to making it through life’s obstacles isn’t by fighting or avoiding them. It’s about learning to build resilience. By resilient, I mean having the right coping tools/skills to help yourself on the days you are struggling. I have a Master’s in Counseling with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and men and women experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, childhood emotional abuse, PTSD, substance abuse, grief, and sleep disorders.
