I use EMDR and IFS for complex trauma.
Most people who find me have already tried therapy. They've done the work, pushed through, done the research — and something still isn't shifting. What they're carrying looks different on the outside. Trauma, patterns that keep showing up, an identity that's been shaped by things that happened long before they had words for it. But what they share is this: they're done managing it and ready to actually move through it. You don't have to know how bad it was or have the right words for it. What matters is how it affected you. That's the only measure that counts here.

You’re standing in the tunnel, about to walk out onto the field. These are the moments you dreamed about as a kid. You’ve worked so hard to get here. But you’re stalling. Your heart is pounding wildly, butterflies are doing aerobatics in your stomach, and sweat is pouring off you. The voice in your head plays on repeat; “You’re just not good enough.” You’re already certain this game will be yet more proof of your inadequacy and that all of your efforts were for nothing. Things weren’t always this way. The field used to be the one place where everything made sense. But not anymore. Now you feel helpless and destined to fail.

I integrate EMDR, Post Induction Therapy, experiential, and faith-based approaches when desired to help clients heal childhood trauma, rebuild self-trust, break unhealthy relationship patterns, strengthen boundaries, and create healthier relationships.
I help women who seem to have it all together heal childhood and relationship trauma, break free from unhealthy relationship patterns, and reclaim their sense of self. You may be successful in many areas of your life, yet find yourself repeating the same painful relationship patterns. You may be the one everyone depends on, the strong one, the helper, the fixer. From the outside, your life looks put together. But inside, you may feel exhausted from anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, broken trust, or painful experiences from your past.

I offer trauma-informed care using approaches like EMDR and nervous system regulation to help you reconnect, feel safe in your body, and build the kind of life that doesn’t just function—but feels alive.
If you’re a teen or adult feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or trapped in cycles of people-pleasing, shame, or self-abandonment, I want you to know this: you're not broken, and you don’t have to carry it all alone. These are often the silent echoes of trauma—trauma that disconnects you from your own body, your sense of self, and the people around you. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before and felt like it didn’t quite reach the parts of you that are still hurting. That doesn’t mean healing isn’t possible—it just means you haven’t had the right kind of support yet.

I provide trauma-informed therapy using EMDR, DBT, and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and lasting change.
You’re successful, stressed, and done pretending otherwise! On paper, you’re doing well, career, credentials, stability yet, internally you’re exhausted, anxious, or disconnected. You’re carrying generational pressure, workplace politics, and the weight of always having to be “on.” You want relief without being minimized, depth without being pathologized, and a therapist who understands both survival and ambition.

My approach to therapy is collaborative in nature and client-centered. I consider myself a trauma informed clinician who prioritizes the therapeutic relationship as the foundation. Clients are typically motivated; We work together for change with internal and/or external events that increase anxiety/fears, stress, panic, and interfere with sleep, relationships, goals, and self care. Clients often want to understand what is happening and why. Additionally, we work to explore practical tools and coping strategies. We also examine ways to process losses and integrate these experiences that continue impact their lives.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
