I strive to be a radically honest therapist with a mission to help all people navigate self-exploration. I believe emotions are informative to the quality of our life experience. I also believe we live in a world full of a lot of information and that feels overwhelming. I feel when people understand their emotions, they can take control of their life. My clinical experience has focused on serving active duty-military members and their families. With this professional experience and as an Air Force dependent, I am most familiar with the unique culture and dynamic of being a military family member.

Hypnosis is a safe tool for achieving personal goals whether you want to stop doing something (smoking, over eating, biting fingernails, feeling anxious, worrying, any unwanted habit) or want to start doing something (eating better, exercising, improve concentration, test scores, even athletic ability). It can be utilized to improve mood, reduce tension and stress, relieve feelings of overwhelm and teach the body to deeply relax. Further, Hypnosis is well documented as an effective treatment for chronic pain and complements medical treatment. Regular practice of hypnotism reduces blood pressure and improves sleep.

Counseling is for human beings going through life and its many challenges. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, gain insight, and increase health and wellness. I use a “hodgepodge” approach, many different therapy modalities, customized to fit your goals and needs. My counseling style is holistic: mind, body, and spirit. If one system is impacted, it can impact all of the other systems. We will explore and seek to understand all of the contributing factors that lead you to seek out answers and actions. This journey of self-discovery is guided by myself, but lead by the client. After all, you are the expert on you.

“Healed people heal people.” I hold this dearly in my heart. It is the notion that brokenness is not a fixed state, but a jumping off point for greater things. It is the belief that broken pieces can still make something strong and beautiful. My passion is to serve populations that are marginalized, underserved, or merely unseen, such as those of diverse cultural backgrounds and social identities, those who have experienced trauma and/or abuse, or anyone who is having trouble navigating life’s turbulence. I aim to provide a safe space for you to feel supported and empowered in your vulnerability.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. As well as a qualified supervisor. I received my MSW at Our Lady of the Lake University and chose this degree due to the diversity of trainings and education. This has afforded me numerous mental health modalities along with integrating physical health and diet. Everyone is different, and everyone will not respond to the same modality. I work with how each person wants. After all, you know you best!

My ideal client is often someone who’s been carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders - quietly, consistently, and often without much recognition. They’re caregivers in many forms: parents, partners, adult children looking after aging parents, healthcare workers, teachers, or those who naturally take on the emotional load in their relationships. Clients who are craving a space to finally exhale. A place where they can be honest about how heavy it’s all become without fear of judgment. They want support in setting boundaries, managing stress, and letting go of the pressure to carry it all alone.

Making lasting changes in life is hard. Even after taking positive steps forward, it's easy to slip back into old patterns and unhelpful habits that keep us stuck. So what brought you here? Maybe you’re not where you want to be. Maybe you've faced significant challenges or trauma. Perhaps you feel trapped in an unhealthy relationship or find yourself relying on the same coping mechanisms that no longer serve you. Anxiety, depression, or overwhelming worry may be keeping you from moving forward. Whatever you’re struggling with, know that there is hope—and a way through.

Burnout isn’t a badge of honor. You may have built success with tenacity—only to realize that parts of your life have quietly fallen behind: romance, family, parenting, friendship, passion projects, sex, spirituality, community. These aren’t luxuries; they’re the pillars of well-being, backed by decades of scientific research. We start by assessing where you are and what you want. We anchor our work in what keeps you grounded—above all, mindfulness—while exploring what needs to shift, whether it’s old wounds, present-day stress, anxiety, or stuckness. Let’s build the next level of your success on something sustainable.

Marriage is a challenge. A beautiful challenge, but a challenge nonetheless. Money fights, personality differences, past wounds, unmet expectations, communication styles and conflict resolution are just a few of the major challenges married people are likely to face. Your marriage should be a source of refuge and strength, but too often it becomes a primary factor in anxiety, depression or fatigue. Just as the tires on a car can get out of alignment and drift in dangerous directions, so can a marriage. As a therapist, my goal is to help you and your spouse align your tires and get moving in the right direction.

Feeling trapped by uncertainty? Relationships not going the way you thought they would? Having trouble getting through your day? There’s hope! Many of us go through “It’s not supposed to be this way” times in life, times when life seems to fall to pieces. As a Christian therapist, seminary-trained & ministry experienced, I weave proven psychological methods with optional ancient Biblical practices (like prayer, meditation, and fasting) to help you become confident in the present and hopeful for the future. And as a Level 2 Gottman therapist, I integrate methods backed by 40 years of research, to help couples reconcile and heal.

How can I find a therapist in Bay County?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
