This includes somatic training (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy), EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Psychodynamic approaches.
Healing from trauma requires a specialized, attuned, and integrative process. The emotional wounds of the past are hidden and often appear as anxiety, relational challenges, disconnection, and more. At its core, trauma disconnects us from ourself and makes us feel that who and what we are is "not enough." This leaves us feeling empty and seeking replacements to fill that void. By addressing our trauma, we integrate this healing at the deeper emotional, body, and spiritual levels. With a safe, supportive space, we can tap into our internal wisdom and bring about this transformational work.

I employ cognitive-behavioral techniques if there is an immediate need for symptom relief, but would move towards psychodynamic principles if there is a need to address the root cause of a psychological and/or emotional distress.
I have experience working with issues such as domestic violence, trauma, parenting, life transitions, addictions, anxiety, depression, and coping with mental illness. While I employ a variety of interventions, my understanding is that there are universal elements in my approach to therapy. First, the relationship between the client and the therapist would be a crucial focus of therapy. Second, there is an emphasis on the here and now, but he would never neglect someone's personal history, especially if they are affecting the present. Thirdly, goal setting would be a crucial part of therapy.

I use psychodynamic methods (including dream interpretation), cognitive and behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, age regression (including past life), neurolinguistic programming and inner child work to help patients achieve insight and symptom reduction.
Imagine waking up with a sense of hope and relief because you feel in control of your life. I have been teaching patients how to understand and take control of their problems and symptoms since 1981, using a variety of techniques to achieve mental and emotional health. In addition to being in private practice, I have also worked in psychiatric and medical settings. One of my goals as your therapist will be to quickly identify the issues and the repetitive patterns that exist for you. After initial assessment, I will teach you how to manage your thoughts, feelings and reactions.

Everyone experiences uncomfortable emotions at different times in their life. However, when the emotional pain lingers and begins to affect one's relationships and/or their capacity to work, it is time to call an experienced, well-trained mental health professional. Are you often worried or depressed, did you recently experience a significant loss, do you often feel angry and disappointed with family, friends or co-workers? These are just a few of the psychological problems psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and group treatment can address. Together we can begin to understand what is causing the emotional pain.

Psychodynamic therapy involves uncovering difficult truths with the help of a patient nonjudgemental listener to collaboratively let go of the person you thought you should be, and breathe life to the person you desire to be.
Think about what single aspect of your life most affects how you feel day to day. If the word that came to mind is "relationships," we should talk. You may be stuck in self-defeating patterns, and feel consequently blocked from being effective and satisfied at work or at home. The people who see me often have difficulties in relationships with others, their relationship with themselves, or at work. My hope is to offer you an opportunity to live a fuller, more authentic life, that includes the spectrum of emotions, thereby freeing up space for desire, joy, and more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.

OCD is a heavy burden. And it feels even heavier when nothing seems to help, including therapy. Maybe you feel that OCD is just something you have to tolerate for the rest of your life. I don’t believe that “coping” is your only option. I believe OCD is treatable. And I believe you can make deep-seated and long-lasting change. Together, we’ll look beyond your diagnosis and subtype, and understand the beliefs that maintain the OCD in your life. This can be daunting, but I’ll be there with you every step of the way offering guidance and support.

Why do you think people turn to psychologists? Because they want to change their lives. People want changes. If you feel the need for change, I can help you with this, because I studied at the Department of Neuro and Patho Psychology and I know how the cognitive functions of the brain work and how the unconscious is formed, which stores hidden files that prevent a person from development and adaptation. Step by step the road will be mastered by the walking. Let’s go.

Live the best version of your life!!! It is time to improve your relationship with yourself and with others You wake up, and you feel that you can be more – that you are more. You want to spread your wings! You are unique. There is no other person like you. Accept and love yourself and at the same time have the courage to change what is causing you pain. Are you a professional? You thought you got everything you wanted, but now you feel empty. Be authentic and connect with others. “What happened with my relationship”? Your relationship isn’t working the way you had hoped. You do not have a close connection anymore.

Psychodynamic Therapists

Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?

Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?

Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?

Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?

Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
