Children ages 3-11 have unique problems that require a unique approach. I use play therapy to enter their world in a safe environment where they can express their thoughts and feeling using toys, not words. Children feel safe to express what they are feeling indirectly through play. They are not capable of expressing their feelings directly because they are not developmentally able to regulate their strong emotions.
