There are many reasons individuals seek counseling and regardless of those reasons I believe every individual can benefit from counseling. Change occurs through self acceptance, self actualization, and self motivation. My goal is to facilitate self exploration by discussing concerns regarding family, relationships, stress, self esteem, and mental health diagnosis. Though I have worked with a variety of individuals, my particular counseling focus is on thought processes and how those processes impact overall functionality.

Most, if not all emotional pain and healing happens within the context of relationships. Relationships are the agony and ecstasy of our lives, significantly shaping who we are throughout the lifespan. This impact begins with the scripts we are assigned in our family-of-origin, and later it influences our choices regarding mate selection and parenting style. Relationships can lead to psychological symptom development, and conversely, also hold the keys to personal growth, positive self-esteem and transformation. As a marriage and family therapist, my specialty is working in this dimension with individuals, couples and families.

I help adults and youth through challenging times. Together, we will break down unhelpful patterns and old fears in order for you to make meaningful changes and increase your wellness. I tailor my counseling "toolkit" toward your individual values and health goals and I strive to create safety at all times; giving you options and empowering your healing. I especially appreciate accessing depth work with motivated clients to investigate the root causes of unhappiness. As a graduate of the respected counseling program at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, my foundation is research-driven, while also mind-body and holistically aware.
