Young adult and middle-aged men and women work with me to identify cognitive, emotional and behavioral distress related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, roles and expectations, unmet emotional needs, people pleasing, fear, shame, transitions, procrastination, anxiety, grief, trauma and/or abuse, identity, and relationships. We'll explore how to identify and reframe negative thoughts, regulate mood, improve communication, learn and implement new behaviors related too childhood and ongoing experiences. I will honor where you are an where you've been while also challenging you toward growth.
I use foundations of psychodynamic and attachment frameworks such as Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and trauma focused therapies to help my clients identify strategies and interventions that help alleviate or eliminate the impact of distress and symptoms.
It is important for all people to feel safe and that they have a place of belonging. I work to ensure that clients feel heard, seen, felt and supported. I ask thoughtful and objective questions to learn and understand clients' unique struggles, perspectives, preferred ways of being, interests, and ambitions.
