Hello, my name is Fernando Rios, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been in practice since 2006. I enjoy working with individual adults who are experiencing mental health concerns and want to manage their symptoms, reduce their impairments, and navigate through their life stressors. I focus on soliciting specific feedback from my clients and collaborate with them to develop a tailored treatment plan that is ethical, practical, and effective in addressing their concerns.
I enjoy working with adult individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and adjustment problems due to changes, losses, or transitions in life. I also work from trauma-informed modalities that can be helpful in processing trauma that may be a barrier in someone's life.
I work from a person-centered approach in which the clients are collaborators in their treatment. I encourage clients to communicate honest and sincere feedback in therapy that could inform my treatment style and the treatment plan so that I may offer the skills, practices, and interventions conducive to my clients' change and progress.
