Hi, my name is Fernando Hernandez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Bakersfield, CA working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work primarily with adults with a specialty in anxiety, stress management, and depression utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support my clients in their journey towards recovery. I provide a listening ear, a calm demeanor, and accommodating. I strive to ensure my patients feel comfortable to share anything in therapy and ensure to provide active listening while in session with clients.
I approach goal setting by working together with clients to develop a mutual goal while working together. Often times it starts by establishing rapport with the client, providing active listening, and a non-judgmental approach.
The first sessions with me will focus on how you have been feeling recently, and what brought you into therapy. I will be asking questions to better understand your journey and to be in a better position to support you going forward.
