As a psychologist, my main focus is supporting those in the helping professions, including healthcare, education, law, non-profit etc., as well as individuals learning and working in academia. In addition, I am invested in supporting those who identify as highly sensitive persons (HSP), who are so often drawn to helping work. I prioritize creating an emotionally safe and secure space so that together, we can address concerns such as: anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, feeling overwhelmed, empathic distress fatigue, moral suffering, and burnout, as well as other issues specific to you.
My goal is to assist you in navigating the unique stressors of your professional environment, as well as in your daily life, that contribute to your distress. Using research-informed interventions, we'll examine beliefs and patterns in your life that no longer serve you well, and I'll support you in developing new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I have recently transitioned to a full-time role as the director of the Michigan Medicine Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience (OCWR) and am no longer taking new private practice clients. If you are a Michigan Medicine faculty or staff member or a UM medical student, I welcome you to seek support at OCWR or the Medical Student Mental Health Program.
