I help individuals and couples navigate complex relational issues involving trauma, depression, anxiety, acculturation, chronic illness, and life transitions.
I believe that healing occurs when people are given the space to explore their unique emotional experience to better understand how it colors their worldview, sense of self, and relationships with others. Within a safe therapeutic relationship, I work with my clients to make meaning out of both mundane and extraordinary moments, unlocking their ability to live a more fully present, authentic life.

I have specialized knowledge and experience working with transgender clients, poly clients, and those who are managing chronic illness.
I offer individual, couple, and family therapy. I am a systemic therapist. I believe your community, your family of origin, and the greater world in which you live all impact your situation. My focus is on promoting your strengths to help you achieve your goals. I use a variety of therapeutic interventions, but the common thread that links them is Mindfulness. In my work with couples, I apply Gottman theories to your preferred family structure. I enjoy exploring gender identity and also enjoy working with people to strengthen their relationships with themselves and others who are important in their lives.

I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic pain, chronic illness, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, difficult life transitions, grief, burnout, and overwhelm. I believe discovering our authentic self, landing safely back in our body, finding the deeper meanings underneath our current symptoms, releasing patterns that no longer serve us, and identifying our fears, hopes and desires can help us find a renewed sense of peace and purpose in our life.

Do you struggle with your mood, a life transition, addressing addiction, managing a chronic illness, or recovering from trauma? Or do you feel overwhelmed, unable to help a loved one in the midst of significant problems? The good news is you are not alone. Deciding to reach out and get help is an important first step to changing patterns, healing wounds, and restoring relationships.

It's been my honor to work for the last decade with people struggling with eating disorders, and I'm passionate about exploring the expansive possibilities of healing. Recovery is "non-linear," so each person's process has its own complexities, timing, and map. But many courageous people have gone before in this process, so that we have an ever-deepening understanding of how to achieve lasting freedom from EDs. I offer ED care to adolescents age 13+ using the FBT model and to adults of all ages using an integrative approach. I also specialize in working with chronic illness, disability, and Jewish teens and adults.

I have worked as a counselor in schools, oncology and perinatology where I developed skills to support individuals through life transitions including end of life issues, chronic illness, or other medical changes.
There are moments in our lives where we can benefit from additional support. Whether you desire better personal or intimate relationships, you are going through a life transition, or you are adjusting to recent change in your health, you have taken the first and most difficult step by seeking support. I work from a strengths-based and collaborative perspective that focuses on helping people identify and develop the skills and tools they already have within. I have an eclectic therapeutic approach that draws from different modalities. I provide a safe, grounded, and compassionate space for processing, change, and healing.

Current openings! Many people think their problems aren't bad enough to seek help and continue suffering in the status quo - but if you're reading this, you must be getting exhausted! You might be wondering why you have such big reactions to minor inconveniences, or why things seem to come easy for everyone else. You've probably tried all the "self care" and are frustrated that you're still struggling. I have a particular interest in working with late or self diagnosed neurodivergent women and chronic illness sufferers. If your anxiety or pain is increasing, or you just have a sense that things are "off," maybe I can help!

I have extensive experience helping navigate issues in Parenting, Relationship Challenges, Relational Trauma, Substance Use, Chronic Illness/Pain in the individual and family, Mood Disorders, and Acute/Complex Trauma/PTSD.
The goals of therapy are directed toward providing a positive and collaborative forum to ease presenting difficulties; and draw on the individual's strengths and resilience to enable greater contentment and satisfaction in life. The foundation from which I view issues is from a systems approach. Thus, my focus is on the relational context that each individual resides within. Additionally, I borrow ideas from Attachment , Emotionally Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral, and EMDR constructs when tailoring goals developed for each person's unique needs.

My lived experience includes being a queer, fat, white cis woman with chronic illness and a neurodivergent mind.
Maybe you need support in navigating pregnancy or the newborn stage, or maybe you’re dealing with the pain of infertility, pregnancy loss, or childbirth trauma. Certified in Perinatal Mental Health, I guide couples and individuals through the transformative journey of welcoming new life. Specifically, I love supporting queer couples navigating their fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum journey. Beyond the perinatal period, I help clients enhance communication and navigate neurodivergency. I use modalities such as Gottman Theory, Attachment Theory, and solution-oriented therapy to help clients achieve their goals.

I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients, helping each to develop the specific and unique tools necessary to cultivate a more satisfying and fulfilling life. My approach is to first actively listen, gaining a thorough understanding of the history of the situation and symptoms, the presenting challenges, and any other influences such as family history, cultural or racial factors, chronic illness, and economic stressors. We will then work together to identify treatment goals and ways to reach them. I work with a broad spectrum of clients ranging in age from 16 and above, offering individual, couples, and family therapy.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
