Specializing in counseling to females (adolescents-adults), marriage and family therapy. I find it rewarding helping others learn to develop and maintain healthy relationships, overcome negative thoughts, become spiritually mature and effectively manage their lives. My approach to counseling is to build a therapeutic counseling relationship that provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. My commitment is to provide a safe place of trust and to walk alongside my clients through the struggles they are currently facing and teach them more adaptive ways to manage their lives.
I have my PhD in Professional Counseling from Amridge University. I am a relational therapeutic counselor. I work from an eclectic framework, although I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution Focused Therapy. I have training in Dialectical Behavior Training, Internal Family Systems, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
I have additional training in Penn Resilience, Professional Life Coaching, Stress and Trauma Care with Military Application, Forgiveness Therapy and Women in Depression, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I am an active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and a part of the Woodbridge, VA Maternal Mental Health Coalition.
