I have been providing therapy for children and families for several years after graduating from Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research. I am trauma informed and specialize in child development, attachment, mindful parenting, sensory integration, behavioral challenges, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression, ADD/ADHD, OCD and grief and loss.

My practice focuses on predominately all things included in women's mental health. Issues surrounding Pregnancy anxiety & Depression, Postpartum Mood & anxiety disorders, Pregnancy/Infancy grief & loss, Birth Trauma, NICU parenting, and infertility. The needs and the goals of my clients vary but the overall goal is to meet the individual's needs and strengthen their well-being. Therapy is tailored to the individual and their goals while obtaining support and learning new and effective skills and strategies.

Being a parent is a scary &exciting lifelong journey.The journey begins as a new mom learning to balance this new role without losing yourself.Needing support is never something to be ashamed of.Sometimes our thoughts& emotions can make us believe that we are failing while trying to adapt to these changes.I will work along side you to move past this obstacle. As your child grows, other challenges may arise along this journey. I am also here to support parents whose child has just received a mental health diagnosis. Receiving a diagnosis can be overwhelming& sometimes we don’t know where to start.

I specialize in psychological assessment and testing, for children, adolescents, and adults, including: Psychoeducational testing (to determine IQ and potential learning disabilities), testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and executive function testing, neuropsychological testing, personality testing, projective testing, behavioral assessments, adoption evaluations, testing for mood disorders, testing to determine readiness for bariatric surgery, and testing to determine readiness for a spine stimulator. I also provide therapy for individuals ages 4-26 years old.

Alyssa Drake is passionate about working with the child, adolescent, teen, & young adult population. She is dedicated to making her client's therapeutic experience a positive one. Alyssa works with clients to navigate through difficulties, explore and explain developmental processes, establish/enhance behavior management, adjust both socially and emotionally, and develop coping skills. She understands the importance of working with the family of the client as well, and she welcomes a collaborative approach to give clients and their families a sense of security and support. She ensures each client will feel seen, heard & accepted.

Accepting New Clients. It is crucial to meet individuals where they are and help guide them to find what they need or are looking for in life. I work with adults and children 10 and older to help cope with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PANDAS, Autism, trauma, relationships, stress, life transitions, and parenting issues. The ultimate goal is to feel happy and fulfilled. I can also help with special education needs and school concerns, including attending school meetings. In addition, I am bilingual and work with Spanish speaking clients.
