I have many years of experience working with youth and their families providing individual, group and family services within educational, justice, residential and home settings.

Symptoms like flashbacks, feeling very jumpy or anxious, intrusive recollections of the event, feeling like you are frequently reliving the trauma, or recurrent distressing dreams of the trauma can linger for years afterwards without help. I use EMDR to treat PTSD symptoms safely and effectively. I am confident in my ability to help you feel heard, supported and challenged to make changes in your life.

*PRACTICE IS FULL* I practice from a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach. Treatment typically includes challenged unhelpful beliefs about yourself, others and the world. Exposure and Response Prevention is typically used as the first line of treatment for OCD, OCD related disorders and anxiety disorders. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment, Dialectical Behavioral, and Relational therapies. Any behavior is an intention to sustain the self; yet many times the preserving behavior exacerbates the distress, fear, sadness, or anger.

My approach is positive, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I firmly believe that in every person and situation, there is hope.
