Kim Logan Communications Christian Counseling Clinic has been successfully addressing the needs of families, youth and individuals experiencing problems, or those with maritial concerns, by providing family therapy, child therapy and substance abuse treatment. KLCC has provided employability training and substance abuse treatment to parole and probationary offenders since 1993.

Lindsey is a licensed social worker who has experience with various populations and challenges. She specializes in relationship building in regards to family, couple/martial, and sibling bonds. Lindsey utilizes individual and group training interventions in order for families to implement positive behavioral techniques for challenging behaviors and obtain psycho-education of various diagnoses and interventions. She is trained in evidence-based treatments including CBT, DBT, Positive Family Interventions, Zones of Regulation, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, Empowerment Theory, Crisis and Suicide Preventions.

My vision is for people to understand the value of taking care of their mental health each day. Our Mental Health plays a significant role in our overall health and well-being. As we navigate the challenges that we all face in this life, it is important that we learn to recognize our mental health needs and how we can take better care of ourselves in this area. One of my goals is to help remove the stigma that many of us have regarding seeking counseling. You do not have to have a mental illness in order to seek out or benefit from counseling. Seeking counseling is a form of self-care.

I am a board-certified therapist with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I was clinically trained as a social worker by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System Depression Center, where I also conducted research on a variety of mental health issues.

Our founder was selected prestigiously as a University of Michigan field faculty instructor. We are a Mental Health Therapy office. Our founder has a Master's Degree from the number one school in clinical social work in the United States of America; the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and was clinically trained as a social worker psychotherapist by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System, where she also conducted research on a variety of mental health issues and continue to work with communities and groups of diverse backgrounds.

I hold a master degree in social work from Wayne State University. I am passionate about my role and calling to provide Christian and Psychological counseling to children and adults. I am a calm and warm individual who is focused on treating the whole person. I have over 15 years of experience working with children and adults in the Detroit Metro area and suburbs.

The purpose of Starting Pointe Therapy is to provide mental health services to individuals, couples and families in southeast Detroit. As a marriage and family therapist, Ellen not only works to treat the individual, but explores their relationships, support systems, and how we "show up" for ourselves and others. It is Ellen's belief that people already posses the skills they need to overcome their roadblocks. It is her goal to highlight those strengths and bring to light their greatest potential. She believes that therapy not only leads to change, but includes acceptance, awareness, and attunement.

Penny Lantz has 30+ yrs of rich experience evaluating & treating children (birth on up) as well as teenagers. I also support adults/parents. I will complete a comprehensive evaluation which will allow you & I to look at what your child needs & how to best meet these needs. I also have experience dealing with the medical field and school systems. I can help you navigate these systems to make sure your child/student needs are successfully met. As a psychotherapist, I will support you & your child through sessions which may include individual, 1 on 1 psychotherapy, family or couples counseling. Child sessions will include play therapy.

Passionate about catering the best support to each individual, I am dedicated to staying at the forefront of education and training in this constantly developing field. My career started in Early Childhood Education, where my passion for working with young children and their families directed me to grow expertise into additional areas by pursuing and excelling in the Oakland University Counseling Master's program. As a Counselor for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, I was an acting subject matter expert for substance abuse, depressive and suicidal ideation, and schizoaffective disorders.
