Hello, my name is Dale. My journey to counseling came about a little differently than some. My background was in the medical field as a radiologic technologist where I had the privilege of working with hurting people every day. Then through a difficult journey of my own, I saw hurting people in a way that I had never seen. They were hurting from the inside, the hidden place holding wounds and experiences from loss, grief, and pain. I am a Licensed Professor Counselor in the state of Georgia with over 26 years working as a counselor. I have worked with families, children, adolescents, geriatrics, with a wide range of concerns including: Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Divorce, Parenting, ADHD, OCD. My therapy style is warm, interactive and practical. I believe Respect is the key to maximizing a therapeutic relationship. I believe in creating an atmosphere of non- judgement as paving the way to freedom, honesty with oneself, radically accept and move towards change. My approach combines with Dialectical Behavior Therapy’s, Solution Focused, Reality Therapy.

I provide therapy to adults for a range of emotional and behavioral problems, including adjustment to life changes. My approach encourages individuals to pinpoint the patterns which may be causing them distress. We can then work together in a supportive environment as they identify the changes they want to make in order to have an emotionally healthy and rewarding life. I also perform evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults to determine cognitive ability, and emotional/personality issues (for example: learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, depression, anxiety, suitability for Bariatric surgery, etc.).

I liken my occupation to what I consider to be my divine appointment in life. My ultimate aim is best summarized by the following motto---"Helping everyday people achieve growth, healing, and change." I believe that we all experience challenges that deplete our natural abilities to cope. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I studied at Cameron University and received a master's in behavioral science in psychology, and a BA in communications from Georgia Southern University. I have been counseling clients since 2011. Prior to becoming a therapist I was an active duty soldier in the United States Army. The army provided exposure to many cultures and adversity. I departed from the army and became involved in military programs while supporting my active duty husband in his service. I was an advocate for the unit's family readiness group which led me to pursue a career in psychology.

Because her life has been blessed by these techniques, she desires to share them with you. Jeannie uses clinically tested and evidence-based interventions to accomplish this, including techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused CBT. She earned her Master's in Professional Counseling from Carlow University in PA.

I am a licensed psychologist accepting teletherapy patients from all areas of Georgia. In-office patients will be seen at St Simons Psychiatry. I work with all ages incorporating mental, physical and spiritual factors. Therapy with children and teens typically involves better communication with parents and parenting help.
