I specialize in treating partners who have suffered relationship betrayal through infidelity, sex addiction, intimacy avoidance issues or any kind of addiction. These couples face unique challenges in their healing. In my work with couples and individuals, I teach behavioral techniques, coping skills, and communication skills to promote healing in areas of betrayal, trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, lack of intimacy or anger issues.

When providing therapy, my goal is for us to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship in which our work together leads to you living a life with increased meaning and fulfillment. This can involve navigating through barriers such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, problematic/compulsive behaviors, lack of direction, etc. Often this includes identifying barriers, personal values that really matter, stories we tell ourselves that are no longer serving helpful purposes, deepening understandings of ourselves and relationships, and implementing strategies that improve quality of life.

I specialize in treating sexual addiction and partners of sexual addicts and Intimacy Anorexics, PTSD and trauma issues. I offer individual, marital and group counseling. I treat women that are in difficult relationships with sexual addicts and intimacy anorexics by offering behavioral techniques along with coping skills. I teach appropriate boundaries in all relationships such as partners, family members, friends and co-workers. I address low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger issues that interfere with their primary relationships. I also treat childhood trauma. I offer a safe supportive environment for clients to address these painful and private issues.

I have worked exclusively with clients for 25 years in the area of sexual offending and sexually compulsive behaviors. I consider this my specialty. My ideal client would be motivated to change behaviors that harm themselves and others and appreciate a direct approach to making those changes.

After working in the business realm, I pursued my B.S. in Human Service while providing therapeutic massage, health assessments, treatment plans, and referral assessments as a sole proprietor and working as a Family Program Director and Individual Counselor at a residential treatment center. From there, I pursued my Masters in Counseling while working as a Community Relations Coordinator, Assistant Program Director, Individual Counselor, and then later a Program Director. Now, I work as a Telehealth Therapist at All Points North as I pursue my Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership.
