Hello and welcome! I am a licensed Marriage Family Therapist specializing in counseling services to youth and parents. My sub-specialties include counseling to youth with special education ranging from learning disabilities, to autism spectrum, to emotional disturbance to a variety of physical disabilities including autoimmune difficulties. I am very familiar with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans as I have been a member of such teams and have coordinated these meetings when working within the school district settings outside of my practice. I specialize in treating anxiety, OCD and adjustment disorders. There are many contributing factors to why a person experiences anxiety and a variety of approaches to managing it, and for some extinguishing the anxiety altogether. Worry can cause functional impairment in only one or all domains of life. Anxiety often leads to symptoms of depression, and it is not uncommon for a person to feel symptoms of both at any given time.
