My foundation is based in the sacred history of women as healers and I am most comfortable "dancing" in that sacred space where mind, body, and spirit converge. I have also been active in research through an Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy Project since 2009.

For over 20 years in the Clear Lake, Baytown and Galveston areas, Ms. Layne, has provided child( ages 6+), adolescent, adult, couples, and family therapy. She has provided trauma-recovery, cognitive behavioral, behavior modification, and insight oriented therapy, to survivors of sex, physical, emotional abuse and other life changing events. Ms. Layne has extensive experience working in juvenile justice systems, and under the guidance of psychiatrists, and psychologists providing assessments, crisis, short, and longer term therapy services.

I'm a Christian wife and mom who has lived in this area for over 35 years I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges and many other issues. I work with teenagers who are experiencing challenges with school, family or relationships. I also enjoy working with adults, both individuals and couples, who want more out of their relationships or who are experiencing stress. I use Gottman Method materials for work with couples.
