I am a psychotherapist who has been in private practice for 30 years. Because of the longevity of my work, I have encountered a wide variety of people of all ages and problems. I believe in the dignity and value of each individual person and treat people with empathy, compassion, warmth, and kindness. I give sustained attention during a session and believe that people can solve their own problems with some objective structure and feedback. For my clients' convenience I maintain two offices. I specialize in working with couples and individuals with relationship problems. I also conduct forensic evaluations for cases involving intimate partner violence. As a relationship researcher for the past 25 years, I am applying research to help couples and individuals with communication, sexual, or other problems by offering couples' assessments, therapy, & forensic evaluations. Combining the work of my Ph.D. mentors, Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Neil Jacobson, my scientifically-based couples therapy combines Gottman Couples Therapy and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy. My approach is direct, short-term and effective.

Eva Szego is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Family Therapist, and a Board Certified Art Therapist. Ms. Szego earned her Degree in Expressive Therapies from the University of Louisville. Her practice is a general one involving therapy. Her goal is to help people utilize and develop their strengths and resources, instead of their weaknesses and limitations. She incorporates Art Therapies to help individuals reach their potential. Ms. Szego counsels individuals and corporations on Acculturation Issues, Stress and Sexual Abuse. She has worked for corporations all over the United States and assists in immigration cases.

My primary therapeutic focus is to help children, adults and families work through identified problems as quickly as possible in order to achieve their stated goals. I respect each family's unique story and approach the therapeutic relationship without judgment or preconceived ideas. Throughout the process of therapy, a supportive and safe space is created where families and children can identify events, issues and behavioral patterns they would like to change.
