My aim is to be with you as you do the brave work of healing and growth. I consider it an honor to walk with you down this road. Women, families, and couples addressing a wide rage of problems including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, childhood trauma, spirituality, relational stressors and marital crisis. Stepping out to ask for help can be incredibly intimidating and uncomfortable. I know how hard it is to ask for help, but the simple fact that you are looking for help makes you a step closer to healing than you were yesterday. Effective therapy is one that is based on a strong therapeutic relationship built on a mutual goal of healthy living. When emotions become overwhelming, we will work together to overcome struggles. You will never have to go through it alone. Whatever the obstacle ahead of us, as your counselor I will be right by your side every step of the way matching you step for step.

I specialize in adult women’s counseling and life coaching ages 18 and up. My clients typically struggle with anxiety, grief, or depression symptoms from situations in their lives that are overwhelming and stressful or changes needing help with achieving transition with relationship/love, healing from toxic relationships, happiness, and fulfilling their self, school or career dreams. I help women achieve a decrease in stress, relief from symptoms, build knowledge and understanding with issues, increase self-confidence/self-identity, increase success in relationships, careers, and navigate life to how they really want to live.

I have spent nearly 20 years working with people in various capacities and fields, including domestic violence survivors, child welfare, substance abuse/treatment, adult acute medical care, and home health/hospice. I love people and offer compassion, empathy and direct communication. I am client centered and prefers a solution focused approach to life and therapy. I enjoy spending time with family, travel, being outdoors and watching sports. I enjoy working with people and helping them identify issues and strengthen their coping skills for increased resilience as they continue on their journey in life.

My goal is to always provide a place of acceptance and safety. I work to empower others to feel a sense of belonging and explore their potential. We are all two sides of the same coin; both strong and vulnerable, confident and insecure, emotional and logical. None of these are more important or valuable than the other, but all are intricate pieces that make up the human experience deserving of a voice and validation.

I am a small-town girl; I grew up in Willard, graduated from Willard, and have returned. While driving home for Christmas in 2015, I realized Willard needed a counseling center--and I have officially taken the leap! My hope is this can help Willard and the smaller surrounding towns not have to drive all the way to Springfield.
