I have spent most of my life searching for who I am, piecing together my identity through experiences, struggles, and the stories that resonated with me. Like many, I’ve navigated spaces that promised belonging but only led to deeper self-doubt. I know what it’s like to feel lost in your own narrative, to carry the weight of expectations that don’t fit, and to wonder if the person you’re becoming is truly you. Then, therapy happened. It wasn’t a magic fix, but it gave me the tools to make sense of my journey, to not just pick up the pieces, but to decide which ones truly mattered. And one of the biggest tools - Stories.
The ones we consume, the ones we tell ourselves, and the ones we’re still writing. As a therapist, I use pop culture, comics, movies, and storytelling, as a way to help people make meaning of their lived experiences. Maybe you see yourself in a hero’s journey, wrestling with identity and purpose. Maybe you connect with a villain’s struggle, misunderstood
and searching for belonging. Maybe the found family trope speaks to the community you wish you had. Whatever your story, there’s power in understanding it. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are. It’s about exploring the narratives that shape you, reframing struggles as strengths, and learning how to move forward in a way that feels real and true.
