We all have difficulties in living.
Problems of self esteem often underlie these difficulties. Resulting depression and anxiety, compulsive behaviors such as overeating, overspending, alcohol abuse and unhappy, frustrating relationship choices, can be changed.
My style of working has developed over many years of practice and is
interactive. Clients would most likely describe me as warm, and responsive. While serious in my work I have a good sense of humor; which I believe is essential for a productive, happy life.
I have a particular interest in working with adult children of narcissistic parents. Together we will explore how unconscious thoughts influence our self-perception and we will work actively toward positive change in the present.
In my work with couples we will find ways to rediscover the feeling of love and commitment that first drew you together. We will identify the cycles of misunderstanding that create breaks in connection.
Learning to recognize these cycles and reconnect emotionally is the basis of my work with both individuals and couples.
