Many of my clients are kids, teens, and adults who are experiencing emotional, social, and behavioral issues due to trauma or other difficult life stressors. Many of clients are searching for clinicians who are supportive of, and knowledgable about, the LGBT+ community and polyamorous/ethical non-monogamy. Most clients, regardless of their age, are exploring their identities and getting to know themselves after experiencing major life changes.
I have 5+ years of experience with clients who have trauma. I primarily utilize Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy to work with my clients. I tailor these approaches to best fit individual client needs. My favorite approach is collaborating with clients to build a treatment plan that aligns with them.
The most difficult step is the first one. It is hard to commit to change, and even harder to allow someone in as you navigate change. I believe with collaboration, flexibility, and accountability, people can start taking steps towards the path they choose.
