As a first-generation Latina therapist, I understand systemic barriers, trauma care, intergenerational experiences, and community strengths. I hope to empower you to feel more confident in overcoming obstacles in your life. I am a bilingual(Spanish speaking) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years supporting patients achieve their goals to address trauma, societal stressors, life challenges, family complexities, school performance, and personal growth.
In the first session, we will discuss your background, your reasons for therapy, and your potential goals. I seek to use these interactions to inform an approach that is best suited for your journey. I want to normalize nervousness for this first session. We will work through this process together.
My approach is to create a safe space that is client-centered, strength-based, and collaborative. As a mental health advocate, I take into consideration the different external factors impacting family and individuals' inner selves for an informative therapeutic approach to promote their well-being.
