I am Dr. Fatai A. Popoola. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am specialized in working with individuals who are struggling with substance use disorder and other mental health issues. I work individuals from different background and cultural orientations. My theoretical approach is person centered. The person-centered approach was developed by Carl Rogers. The idea is to treat everyone with respect and recognizing their potentials in resolving their own problems.
Every treatment goal must be set with the client. The SMART Goal is a tool is used quite often. Client should be prepared for an introduction and ready to respond to initial assessment questions.
