For many of us, the challenges we face in our daily lives can be overwhelming, no matter what form they take. We find ourselves repeating the same unhealthy patterns, yet struggle to understand why. After a while we begin to lose trust in our judgement and grow distant from our intuition, finding it difficult to identify our own guiding voice. So we learn to cope through any means possible, which often emulate ways we have learned to protect ourselves. We find ways to run from the pain and our internal shame through substance use, unhealthy relationships, and other self-destructive behaviors.
My clinical work focuses on treating trauma related issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I utilize psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-based as well as elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices. However, just as important as the clinical framework, is my connection with you, the client.
I strive to provide you with a compassionate environment as we work collaboratively to explore life challenges, creating a space that promotes safe vulnerability. With this in mind, it is my role is to help you to deepen insight and to promote emotional growth. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to walk through this journey with you.
