My approach to counseling is one of respect and show of sincerity to the individuals I meet. Among the many positive feed backs I've received is the non-judgmental, warm atmosphere I offer to allow for sharing thoughts and feelings from where we can begin the healing process. I respect cultural differences and value them as an important aspect of my clinical practice. I take special interest in relationship, trauma, and multicultural issues. I do thorough assessments and accompany you through your struggles in life. I take an active role in the sessions with questions and suggestions.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Hawai'i @ Manoa. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. I have also received advanced training in EMDR, a method of treatment for reducing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I began my profession in Hawai'i, counseling US military personnel at Pearl Harbor Naval Station. Since then, I acquired a diverse portfolio of EAP experience from counseling to managing Fortune 500 EAP accounts including media, airline & healthcare industries. I serve EAP, Health Insurance & Private Pay Clients.
