I welcome you to heal and grow from past/present stressful situations in a professional, emphatic and validating therapeutic environment. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Wellness Counseling Inc. with 14 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. I am English-Spanish bilingual. I am in network with Bluecross-Blueshield, Kaiser, Lifewise, Premera and Regence.

My passion is helping clients rediscover their true potentials and bring joy back into their lives. I follow a strengths-based model of practice while utilizing a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Essentially, I believe in a holistic approach, in that all of our experiences (physical, emotional, spiritual, and social) are integral in our unique compositions. Our early experiences often show up in our current lives, and can manifest themselves in a myriad of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I value the interaction with my clients and believe in empowering clients by direct participation in the therapeutic process.

I work with adults struggling with relationship issues, addiction, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Many of my clients have had difficult childhoods and are curious how therapy can help to reduce their suffering, heal from past traumas, and learn healthier ways of attachment. I use elements of EMDR therapy in my approach. I am kink allied and sex positive. I invite you to come as you are. I will respect, support, and encourage you during our time in therapy.

If you are a woman in transition, or are feeling disheartened, depressed or stuck, I will give you assistance in identifying and uncovering your strengths, and recovering your joy of life! Or, if you are a member of a couple or family having difficulties, I will offer support and teach communication skills, which can deepen and enhance those relationships closest to you. It is often difficult to identify our stuck places and painful patterns. I have found that talking things through with someone with sound professional training and experience can offer new perspectives and life possibilities, allowing change to happen!

I am interested in the meanings that you make from your life experiences and the influence that these have on your perspectives of yourself, your relationships, and your future. I find that viewing problems as separate from personhood helps to lessen feelings of guilt and shame so that we can work together in a collaborative environment. My training in family systems theory informs my view of people in the context of their relationships, environment, and culture. I consider it a privilege to work with people to bring about the changes they desire in their lives and relationships.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with training from the University of Washington School of Medicine and Utah State University. I offer individual, couples, and family psychotherapy for issues related to depression, anxiety, health concerns, grief, and/or adjustment difficulties due to life changes. I have worked with many successful professionals who require the services of a highly trained doctoral level provider.

I counsel teens and their parents, as well as adults and couples who are experiencing a wide range of psychological and relationship difficulties due to parent child conflict, major life transitions, grief and loss and recent or historic trauma. My approach is systemic, meaning that I try to understand human problems in terms of the complex set of psychological and social systems in which they are embedded - family, social, cultural, educational and emotional experiences. I have specialized training and experience in working with Couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) as well as Anxiety, Depression andtrauma/PTSD.

As an LMFT serving Bainbridge Island, I utilize a humanistic, evidence-based, emotionally focused perspective with children, youth, and adults with concerns including anxiety, depression, attachment, trauma, self-harm, identity, and gender questioning issues. I find Lifespan Integration and Somatic Transformation helpful in resolving trauma. I treat couples and families working through conflict, life transitions, divorce, grief, and loss. Additionally, I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and a Washington State Supervisor offering supervision to associates.

It’s my belief and experience that that sense of self is, by nature, strong, clear, and caring, and yet can become problematic, in feelings and behavior, through the difficult experiences that life can bring. I see my role as helping to bring forth the experience of this successful and caring self, and, specifically to assist the client to heal the problematic traumas, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, that interfere with this.

I implement Gottman Institute techniques in my work with couples to improve communication and connection and facilitate healing post-infidelity.

Hello and welcome! My work is focused on helping clients strengthen any number of dimensions in their relationships, including emotional connection, safety and intimacy, communication, conflict resolution, self- and other-confidence, trust building and repair from infidelity. I am trained in systems theory, which means I approach therapeutic work through the context of your relational systems, interactions, and feedback loops that create and perpetuate the problems, patterns, and behaviors clients are seeking to resolve. This often translates to facilitating change within the system in contrast to only within the individual.

Glyn Deputy, M.Ed, LMHC, brings a keen awareness of both the necessities and subtleties of surviving our human condition and reaching one’s full potential, particularly when clients are experiencing significant life transitions (e.g., separation, divorce, parent child conflicts, etc.), as well as clinical experience spanning the past 20 years. Glyn has worked with generational family issues in rural and frontier communities, has assisted youth and young adults with many types of disability in pursuing higher education, and has gained exceptional skills in dual diagnosis treatment – both individually and in the family system.

Jennifer has a clinical degree in Couples and Family Therapy, a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Psychology, a Master’s in Divinity, and a Doctorate in Psychology and Religion (East-West Philosophy) with an emphasis on culture and wellness. The first half of her adult life was spent on the East Coast studying, researching, teaching and writing books. In the second half, she’s been devoted to her family and growing as a therapist while living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, her original home.
