I enjoy working with all age groups. However, I particularly enjoy working with both men and women on their individualized issues. I also enjoy working with teens who are at the experimental stages of Alcohol and Drug issues. I have a Family Therapy background and Outpatient Mental Health, as well as over 15 years of providing EAP Counseling services, which is more Brief/Solution Focus Therapy. I am a clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression and Post-traumatic stress disorder using different approaches, including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems and EMDR. I have a special interest in working with clients with body image and disordered eating issues. I am specially trained in play therapy and work with children as young as 4 years old. I have 20+ years of experience in working with clients who have traumatic life experiences, including sexual assault and other types of violence.

I am open to counseling all clients. However, I specialize in counseling people with impulse control, behavioral issues, psychotic disorders, depression, anxiety, systemic family issues, and challenges regulating self-esteem and self image.

Dr. Hogan obtained her doctorate from Mississippi College, Fall of 2020. In 2015, she earned her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Renita provides individual therapy as well as clinical supervision. She is licensed in both MS and TN. Her concentration areas include, but are not limited to; Mood disorders, (Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorders and more) Family therapy and Addiction/Dual Diagnoses.
